We booked late and were happy to accept room 8 on the second floor. It was small but perfectly OK for an overnight stay. On a hot July evening dinner was served in the garden under shady trees. On this occasion we did not have grandchildren travelling with us, but if we had they would have enjoyed the play area where they could have escaped between courses and let us relax. An excellent meal with Celine overseeing everything with aplomb. Just one minor wrinkle with the meal - the tomato sorbet accompanying the smoked salmon was perfect but the salmon was completely tasteless! The rest of the food more than made up for this odd experience. A good breakfast served in the bar completed our stay and the bill was average for the area.

After a long drive from home to be greeted in perfect English and asked to take a seat in the garden whilst cold beers were brought to our table was indicative of our stay. Celine was very welcoming and the restyaurant catred to our vegetarian requirements.
Very close to the autoroute, this is a wonderful place to relax for the evening.

We have stayed overnight in Salbris on many occasions as it is conveniently located just off the motorway and ideal for our journeys from Spain to UK and back. The current owners have refurbished the rooms and provide a more than adequate continental breakfast.
Dinner is reasonably priced with excellent home cooked food, especially in the game season.
La Sologne is a region of lakes & forest with attractive walks.
Our intention would be to stay longer on the next occasion to take advantage of these.

Room Tip: Back of hotel unless you like hearing trains in the distance.

We received a warm welcome on arrival from Celine who has a friendly, bubbly nature and speaks good English. It was a very hot day and the room was nice and cool with portable air conditioning. Our room (no 2) was very spacious and furnished in warm luxurious bedding and fabrics with a large modern bathroom.
Although on a main road the sound was well deadened by double glazing.
Our evening meal was very good and, at 18 Euros for 3 courses, very good value. There is a pleasant garden set with tables for a pre-dinner drink if you wish. A longer stay if you wanted to explore the area would very enjoyable.

We stayed at LeDauphene early August 2012 on our Journey from Zebrugge to Sarlat in the Dordoigne. Room booked for 3 (2 adults and 1 17 year old daughter) at a great priceof 154 euros for bed, breakfast and a 5 course "tourist" menu evening meal!! with the current euro rate... a bargain!!! Easy to find from the peage - just a couple of miles away. Hotel is near the village centre so a little wander up the road revealed a river, nice buidings and a luittle friendly bar for a quick beer before dinner!! . Our room was massive with a big double and single bed for said daughter. Big bathroom that was very clean with great shower etc. Service superb. Staff friendly and very attentive. 5 course eve meal was unbelivable for the cost of the accommodation. The tourist menu was more than adequate!! More al la carte as quality was superb and well presented. The restaurant itself was lovely and full of character. Wine reasonably priced. Breakfast was also excellent - usual continental affair with cereals, french bread, croissants , cheese ham, fruit juice coffee etc. We had a room at the front which was a little noisy in the morning due to traffic....so when we stay again we would ask for a room at the rear....It was raining the night we arrived but you are able to eat in the gardain to the rear which looked nice too. There is off street parking to the rear which is l;ocked at night so car and contents safe. A liitle gem....we will be back!!!

Room Tip: ask for rear of building due to possible road traffic noise at front.

We booked two overnight stays in this hotel (outward and return journeys to the the south of France) on the strength of the positive reviews we read in TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed and would certainly return. Celine is a warm and friendly host. We booked the larger rooms and they were very comfortable - the bathrooms in particular were spacious and modern. Dinner was great - proper French home cooking using the best of local ingredients. The location is perfect as Salbris is just off the A71. Great value Logis and just what's needed when you want to break your journey and relax a little.
