My wife and I stayed a week end of June. We had a room by the relaxing pool and clue was in the name. The room 908 was spacious and great location. The Kitchen restaurant was were we ate breakfast and dinner. The service and food was first class the variety and quality was very very good. We will certainly be back

Just returned from a two week holiday at The Island Hotel. We had a great holiday with lovely weather but the highpoint of the holiday was the Friendly, Polite, Professional and Smiley Staff, they all could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Once again many many thanks for all your help, kindness and friendly service, you really do make this hotel excellent.

Immediately upon arrival, you'll feel the calm and relaxation take over. The view and the luxurious conditions will make you feel special and pampered.
The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Do take part of the daily events as you ge to enjoy several great things like meeting the Chef and having greek cooking lessons (and eating of course).

Travelled as a young couple and had a truly unforgettable time at this fantastic hotel! Check-in was quick and informing, with our luggage taken to our room for us. Room was a good size with plenty of storage space and amenities such as a free safe, fridge, large bathroom, sofa, garden/patio area. The only slight problem with the room (we stayed in 956) is the air con isn't brilliant, even on the lowest temp + highest intensity. However it does make a difference to the room and is comfortable to sleep in. Also wifi will occasionally cut-out but its not really that big of a deal.

3 unique pools to choose from, note the large main pool and infinity pool offer a sea breeze which was needed at the start of the week. Drinks and food slightly over-priced at the Stone restaurant, however the buffet breakfast and evening meal more than makes up for this. Food on a whole was amazing - not a single bad meal was had, every night had a mix of great food! Staff Marina and the young-lady from the stone restaurant (sorry I didn't catch your name!) were excellent.

Gouves itself is relatively small - few supermarkets, tavernas, restaurants and interesting sights along the sea and side of hotel. Went to the cocktail bar named KonDimAr opposite the hotel most nights which boasts an extensive selection of drinks to choose from for great prices! Thoroughly recommended.

Overall this hotel is brilliant and offers a lot for everyone. It's near impossible to have a bad time at this place! Would we return? Absolutely.

Room tip: Stayed in 956 - good secluded room, everything works fine!

this modern hotel, spotlessly clean, with the largest and most comfortable bed we have ever had, was an oasis of peace in the heat, we were staying in 3rd week in june and it was in the high 30s and above , the food is first class, and with very helpfull staff, all with a smile on their faces. the breakfast was especially good with every type of breakfast you could wish for. the drinks are priced at the usual hotel prices but with a shop on site or super-markets nearbye you were not "ripped off". just outside of the hotel are a couple of tavernas, of which we found "georges " very good value. it is also the place to go to watch people study the menu and then fall back in amazement when the size of their selection arrives in front off them. we had a 7pm pick-up for the air-port and the kitchen put us a lovely bag each of greek salad, sandwiches and two lovely pieces of cake, all accompenied with a big smile. all in all thank you staff and management of the island hotel for a fantastic holiday, we will be back, but probably 2 weeks earlier next year. a very big bonus with the island is the safety deposit box in your room is "free" as is the bottle of water and tea ,coffee every day.

Room tip: if choosing a garden room go for a first floor room
