We had a one bedroomed apartment, top floor in the rear block which by Greek standards was large and appeared to be fairly new. The kitchen had the basics although a toaster would've been nice. The shower was very good but no shower curtain so more of a wet room. The beds were quite firm, stiff backs all round! The air con is only in the bedroom but was well worth the extra we paid for it with temperatures reaching 30 deg and more. The pool area is quite small and cramped so we went to the lovely beach every day. The family are very pleasant and helpful. Wouldn't return to Gouves as the place is a bit run down and neglected, there are much more beautiful places in Greece to visit.

Room Tip: Rear block newer.Sun from lunchtime

This was our second visit to the Pella and after a lovely welcome from the family were shown to our apartment, this was on the top floor of the apartments and was spotlessly clean, with two balconies, air conditioning in the bedroom (extra) and a functional kitchen area in the living area.Beds and towels were changed during our weeks stay and the bins emptied daily, ~The kitchen supplies enough crockery and cutlery for 4 people and although there are only 2 hotplates this is sufficient to make a meal if required, but as the restaurant is so good and reasonably priced you may find you wont use it except for maybe breakfast and to make drinks. The pool area is very clean with plenty of sunbeds available. The supermarket is able to supply daily basics but do go early for fresh bread as it does sell quickly because it is so good. This is one holiday accommodation that I would recommend to anyone.

We are about to depart from the Pella Apartment in Gouves and would very happily stay another week or more. We stayed at the apartment as a family with a teenage daughter. The apartment was spacious and very clean as well as being equipped with all the essentials for self catering. The pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers and shade for everyone. The family which runs and owns the apartment could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The onsite restaurant (with free wifi) was the best of all the restaurants we tried in the surrounding area and the onsite supermarket stays open until around midnight and stocks all the essentials you need. The beach was only a very short walk away and well maintained with lifeguards. I would recommend the Pella Apartments to anyone.

I must begin by saying that we have just returned from a special trip because it is our 40th wedding anniversary later this month and we wanted somewhere friendly with all mod cons, just the two of us before celebrating with our family in a few weeks. On a previous visit to Gouves, we ate at the taverna so we already knew that it was the best restaurant in Gouves.
The family are just terrific from the bubbly and energetic Eleni and the kind and efficient Stavros with his friendly smile and complimentary glass of Raki that he makes himself with great skill. I usually don't like raki but this is special! Then the rest of the family in the supermarket and all round the place just keep adding to the happy atmosphere that this very special place has got.
Take no notice of the people who come on here and make big issues from things that really don't matter, yes the facilities are basic, but so is the price, but what is truly five star is the warmth and genuinely caring attitude of all the family.
Thank you for a truly great holiday, and we will becoming back.

On arrival I was disappointed - I know greek apartments are basic but these are BASIC. Our first night resulted in a dripping air conditioning unit and a collapsing camp bed, These were rectified next night but overall the condition of the apartments were dated and small. The cooker was worn so much I couldn't make out the numbers on the dial and it took a white to work out whether the rings were on low or high especially as electric takes a while to warm up. the kitchen consisted of 2 pans, kettle, pots and cutlery so pleased I brought my own tin opener! The icing on the cake was after a few days the toilet roll ran out I was told you only get 1 free roll and then you have to buy your own! I was disappointed that the pool bar was not open (end of june) but you could walk to the main restaurant (in your swimwear) to get a drink. Even though wifi was advertised it couldn't be picked up in the pool area or our apartment so I had a bored 13yrear old boy who had to sit in the front bar area to get wifi access. Saying this the staff and owners were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful, if they hadn't I would have scored 1 or 2.
