“Absolutely Fantastic :)”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

This was our 2nd stay at pella and it was fab, We travelled with our 2 boys a 4 yr old and a 13 yr old (autistic) we all loved it and cant wait to return, The staff are all very friendly and will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable, if you need anything JUST ASK !!
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, they regularly made non menu items for my fussy 4 year old, stavros makes the best cocktails ever :)
The supermarket is on site and has everything you could need, the sea is right across the road & access to the beach 5 mins stroll, we recomend a trip to the aquarium it is stunning, Overall a fabulous quiet holiday perfect for couples or families who like peace and quiet.
Lastly we had no problems drawing cash from the machine or by paying with credit/debit card, It was much quieter than our previous visits but this was obviously people were put off by what the news says, its all good and we will definately be back next year x x

Absolutely fabulous time had at the Pella will definitely be going back . Everyone very welcoming and looked after us extremely well. Food in Taverna was very good we ate there most days and nights.Pool was also very good. As to costs since Greece joined the Euro everything is more expensive but not too overpriced. Met very friendly people from different parts of the world - only drawback {and only because of walking difficulties} was that it is 10m from sea but not beach but walk 300m and you come to a small beach and also if you do not like planes it can be very noisy as they come into land

We had a fantastic stay at Pella, the family were all so lovely and welcoming, always smiling and going that bit further to make us feel welcome.

The location was ideal, minutes from the gorgeous beach. The apartments were basic, but had everything we needed and were well kept. The pool was lovely and so was the food. It was great to have a supermarket on site where the staff were always helpful and friendly. We felt safe, looked after and had an excellent holiday. Would recommend to anyone.

We can only echo the good reports and very likely to return next year.
For couples or families of all ages you can't go wrong staying at the Pella. The family run business allows children to play safely whilst you relax at night in full view. Being close to bus routes allows you to see all the north of the island.Tranfers from airport are 30mins max.Car hire and excursions available nearby.Food always good with a large range of different types of cusine at affordable prices including childrens.
The whole family from grandparents to grandchildren make you feel welcome and relaxed whilst on holiday especially Eleni and Stavros.

I can only echo all the recent comments. You will not be better looked after wherever you go, nothing is too much trouble for this family team. We arrived at 06:00 after being delayed at the airport for an hour and a half. A notice board had been left with directions to our room but Grandma had waited up for us and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Later in the day Eleni welcomed me again with a chat and a coffee. "Aircon? sure. It's 5 euros per day but i'll only charge for 6 days as you're half way through one", "extra pillows? no problem".
The accommodation, as mentioned elsewhere, is basic but spotless clean and very comfortable. We had an upstairs one-bedroomed apartment with a very large balcony that had the most comfortable padded bamboo furniture, a glass topped table and 4 chairs. Ideal for an afternoon or late evening drink with friends, None of your usual cheap plastic patio set here!
I've read previously that the restaurant serves the best food in Gouves, All i can say is, i wouldn't know for certain as it was that good we never ate anywhere else! They have a very varied menu and all reasonably priced. One last point, checkout is 12 noon with, according to the tariff card in the apartment, an option to have up to 6pm for a further 30 euros, not unreasonable. As we were not being picked up until 5:45, i asked Eleni if we could have a late checkout. It was not a problem and there was no charge either. Where else would you get service like that?

Room Tip: If you want a suntrap, try for a room around the pool. If you prefer a breeze, go for an upstairs on...
