“Wish I had more time”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

I only got to walk about a third of the track but even that was sufficient to see just how great this is for anyone looking to get out in the wilds on a well made and easy to follow route. The views and splendid and the grandeur of the mountains slowly reveal themselves and you walk further towards the base of Mount Cook.

“Worth the walk”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

We walked this track twice during our last visit to Mount Cook however if you are a first time walker you need to know that the walk is probably at best around 12 kilometers. Many of the walking tracks give time estimations rather than distance and this can be a little deceptive - so be prepared. The scenery is magnificent. So much beauty is awe inspiring. Tracks are well maintained and for the most part fairly easy walking.

“lovely walk”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

We really enjoyed this walk, track is well maintained and the views are well worth the effort on this walk. Mt Cook has some excellent walking tracks and at least one day here is recommended.

“This is a beautiful hike”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

There is one scary part, but the rest is easy. You also cross a hanging bridge over a roaring river and walk on a boardwalk. Don't miss the Alpine Memorial near the beginning of the hike.
