“Relaxing and refreshing”

So peaceful! We stayed in the lower unit and relaxed the moment we set foot in the door, so secluded being set in the bush and such a sunny little spot. Equally lovely when the sun goes down and the stars come out. The outdoor bath is such a nice touch and I loved that there were candles scattered around the studio too - very thoughtful. Perfect little retreat.

We stayed here a few years ago for a weekend getaway when living in Auckland. It was a fantastic unique stay and we even had a bath outside (in the middle of winter)!! It is nearby the pottery train and local restaurants, but tucked away into the bushes we even struggled to find it on arrival at night. The beach and good walks are all nearby. It was a wonderful place to stay, and we have recommended to friends who told us they also loved their stay early this year.

Room Tip: We stayed in the lower studio, this probably feels more private if the upper is occupied. Both have...

Absolute heaven for a romantic escape; child free and no tv! Beautifully hidden in the Coromandel Bush. We had the upstairs studio unit which was laid out in an excellent design with a lot of wonderful thought going into the decor and surrounds. From the wonderful walk in shower unit to the cosy fire place, just perfect for those cold winter nights cuddling up to the loved one. Tastefully decorated with art work by the host (local artist Robyn Lewis) Outside is an area of bush, with an aray of birdlife calls from the Kiwis in the distant night to the early moring chorus of a Tui's call.
A must is the outdoor bath on a starry night :)

The place is beautiful, the outdoor bath was amazing even in the rain, we loved the open shower. It was so quiet here and the bed was very comfortable. Its a great place to come if you need some time away. Hopefully we will be back.

I can't recommend Indigo Bush Studios highly enough; it's a wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of the Coromandel Township. If you're looking for a tranquil place to relax far from the 'madding crowds', this is it! The place is spotless and provides all mod cons with a funky twist; I was particularly taken with the beautiful outdoor bath. Robyn is a fabulous host; I'm looking forward to a return visit in the near future.
