We had informed them we r on our honeymoon, so they arranged a bottle of wine and a card! That set the tone. Gave excellent suggestions. About what to do, when to do. Especially the hot water beach suggestion. That was the highlight of the trip in coromandel. Breakfast was also good.
Detailing from start to end. Would recommend it to any1!

I stayed at the Green House Bed and Breakfast on Christmas Eve. The house has three guest rooms and I was in the Garden Room on the ground floor with its own door opening out onto a small garden area. The room, like the rest of the house, was very clean and in immaculate condition, the bed was comfortable and there was a large wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom had a powerful shower. Bath robes and slippers were supplied.

On the first floor there is a guest lounge with tea and coffee making facilities, television and guest computer, there was also free wi-fi available throughout the house.

A home made afternoon tea was supplied and because it was Christmas Eve the hosts put on drinks and nibbles in the evening, a nice touch. Breakfast was the icing on the cake, served in the dining room around a table shared by all guests it was up the high standard of the rest of the stay.

I cannot recommend higher than to say I would stay at the Green House again.

Hosts:
Denise and Malcolm are very, very nice and open minded hosts and have a lot of outstanding recommendations about the area (beaches, lookouts, hikes, trips...). We had very good discussions with all people (hosts and other guests) in the house and enjoyed our stay very much.

House:
The house is located in walking distance to the township of Coromandel. The two level house has three bed rooms - two on the upper and one on the basement. All rooms are cozy and appropriate and the bathrooms are modern style. All guests have a shared guest lounge with a kitchenette. We stayed in the basement room and had our own terrace. In this room you may be impacted by the traffic. For us early birds is was no problem.

Breakfast:
The hosts prepared home-made muesli, fresh fruits, fresh rhubarb jam, toast and eggs in all styles, different sausages and cheeses.

Located a few hundred metres outside the centre but an easy walk. Great friendly hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and made some good recommendations for our drive the next day.

Large breakfast with lots of home made produce.

Rooms immaculately clean and tidy and our room (the upper deck) had a huge wet-room style bathroom. Really quiet. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All great rooms.

Denise and Malcom, our hosts, were ever so helpful and gave us great tips, what to do and where to go, especially because we just had one full day to spend at the Coromandel Peninsula. Breakfast was really fantastic, we got everything we wanted and needed, from scrumbled eggs to yoguhrt, cheese, ham, salam, jam, fruits, coffee, juice.....
The electric blankets were one of the highlights, and the views are superb, shortly after our arrival we've seen the Most amazing Rainbow from our own balcony. Everything was very clean, we got lovely chocolate and cake...what can I say? It's actually our Honeymoon, which we didn't tell them, and still we felt spoiled.
Thanks so much, Denise and Malcom;-)))

Great location, very comfortable room and well appointed, excellent breakfast and great company. I loved the 'extra' touches of the afternoon tea waiting for us and the chocolates by the bed. Just what we needed - a few days away to relax and see a little more of NZ. Thank you Malcolm and Denise. I recommend this place.

We stayed for three nights in March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite some wet & windy weather.
The hosts are very welcoming, very friendly and can provide a wealth of information on local attractions and places to visit.
The bedroom & bathroom we had was very well appointed (we were given an upgrade to the room with the decking balcony) with everything you could think of supplied. Although the bedroom was a little small, there is a shared guest lounge with TV, PC, tea & coffee making facilities, free scones, comfortable sofas, seaviews, book swap, games ....!
The breakfast is excellent, with Malcolm doing eggs and fish to order.
The town restaurants are 5-10 minutes walk away and Coromandel township itself is not at all spoilt by the tourist trade and has retained its character.
