“A great tour, make sure you have their lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2012

This is a great tour, I would definitely recommend it! It is incredibly reasonable for what you get ($30.000/ $16 USD) for round trip transportation to and from your hostel, 4-5 hour tour and time to relax at their beautiful location. Also, make sure you have their lunch! It was delicious! They also have a hostel at the finca which looked very nice and extremely relaxing, we didn't stay but I suggest looking into it if you are wanting to just get away from the city life for a day or two.

“Experience a working coffee farm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

We actually stayed at the Hacienda and were therefore able to combine our tour of the farm with lazing around the house, swimming in the pool and generally taking in the fantastic atmosphere that is Hacienda Venecia. The tour was very informative. Only a small group we went from classroom to coffee field. It was great to be able to see the final process where the coffee is dried and bagged. Talking to the family, who happened to be there, allowed us an insight into the more personal side of the business. Sitting on the veranda looking at that magnificent view, while tasting the coffee was magical. Venecia is pretty inaccessible without 4 wheel drive, so plan to stay either at their hostel or in the main house. But make the effort - an experience not to be missed.

“Don't ask questions, just go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

You've noticed by now how much all the other reviewers have enjoyed their visit to Hacienda Venecia and I am no different. There were travellers from all over the world on the tour with us, yet our group was only about 7 or 8 people, making it not crowded and giving all of us the time we wanted to explore and look around without feeling rushed.

Their guides are very knowledgeable and friendly and the informational chat before we went on the tour was extremely interesting and enlightening. My friends and I stayed for the lunch afterwards which was, of course, delicious.

The thing I liked best about Hacienda Venecia is that it does not try to push itself on its guests as a tourist attraction - you may buy their coffee at the finca but do not outright advertise it to you, nor do they continuously push their name into your heads - their aim is simply to promote and share the coffee growing culture that sustains the region and much of the country. Their goal its most certainly to afford their guests a very enjoyable experience rather than make a name for themselves or their coffee (which by the way is phenomenal and completely worth the buy).

I live in Manizales and visited Hacienda Venecia with my friends who were visiting and I most definitely will return to stay a weekend sometime in the beautiful old finca house.

“Wonderful Columbian Coffee Plantation Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2012

Highly recommend this tour, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. There was hands-on interaction, as well as a detailed history of coffee in the region and world. I also recommend the lunch they serve for another 10,000 pesos, it was delicious.

“The highlight of South America! ..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2012

Having travelled 7 countries in South America & Columbia being no 8 we finally (after weeks of fun filled deliberation!) found our favourite & Hacienda Venecia was one of the most memorably enjoyable experiences of our time in his amazing countr. Such a gem & definitely one of my favourite places in the World. We were treated like royalty during our time here & I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
