“Had a great stay, relaxed, and saw the island!”
Reviewed May 12, 2009

The resort is only 1.5 miles from the airport. We were greeted with a smile and champagne upon arrival. Open air lobby always had a breeze and we had no problems getting our room. Service throughout the week was excellent. Mark was a perfect host. Mahi-Mahi was the outstanding meal of the week. Aunt Debbie's for dinner is a must do when on the island. Many improvements have been made and are continuing to be made at the resort. Coconut Bay Resort and Spa rooms were clean and the staff was always available. The pools were relaxing and the family water park was a great addition to our week. Rum punch and Piton were my favorite drinks. Beautiful Spa!

Zip lining was exciting. There were 11 platforms! We also took a snorkling trip, a visit to the volcano and botanical gardens, and we went ATV riding. We had rain daily but it passed quickly at the resort. The southern part of the island was easily accessible and had a tropical atmosphere.

This is a great place for a relaxing week of site-seeing. The best way to describe the island and Coconut Bay Resort is "green, lush, picturesque, relaxing, and service oriented".

We just got back from coconut bay for our wedding/honeymoon and we were more than impressed with the resort and especially the staff. We were there for the first week of may and it seems like a great time to be there because it is the off season so the resort was not crowded. From the moment we arrived the staff was curteous. Anyone we passed who worked there always had a hello and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. Two people stood out who go above and beyond there duties. Within fifteen minutes of being at the resort we had met Junius who seems to know everybody at the resort guest or otherwise and will always bring a laugh. Janelle our wedding coordinator also was extremely friendly and helpful. No concern was too small for either one of these people. Our wedding was exactly what we were looking for and our stay will be a bright memory for years to come.

Touchdown and immigration was easy. Resort less than 5 mins from airport. Taxi provided; just tipped driver for managing baggage. Arrived to champagne and friendly staff and quick bellhop service. Room was clean, cold a/c, and with a fresh fruit dish. Only complaint is that we booked king size bed but received 2 queens. Even though below 50% occupancy, we were told each day to check back the next for availibility of king. When that day arrived (4th day) the new room was dank with visible moisiure on the walls and floors (we returned to the 1st room). Staff was excellent (Small J was the best bartender!). Not much to do at the resort except relax, drink and eat. There's an adult pool and bar separate from the families with children. We paid $200.00 U.S. plus tip for all day comfortable a/c taxi van to drive us around the island and see whatever and stop wherever we wanted. Worth every penny! Liquors were average to bottom shelf and beer was an island lager or Heineken on tap. Sometimes the elevator worked, sometimes it didn't. The 2 specialty restaurants were excellent and easy to book (at no charge, of course). Excursions were expensive but you can knock off 3 or more a lot cheaper by renting a taxi for the day. A tad windy, but when it rains it pours! And it rains sideways so there's no respite. Wading out in the ocean was not an option as there was coral or rocks and seaweed everywhere, but the poolsides and beaches were well- kept and views are picturesque. Cigars (Cuban) were outrageously expensive, so bring your own. Music bands were good. Departing through Emigrations at the airport was hot, confusing and staffed by angry women. Overall, though, a goodtime!

As the manager of a travel agency I had the pleasure of escorting a group to this wonderful resort. I have traveled extensively in the caribbean and Mexico and this was one of the best trips. Everyone in our group enjoyed it immensely. I had couples that stayed in the Harmony section and families in the splash section. This resort has something for everyone. The food was very good, no crowds at the pool even though it was Easter break. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice. I would like to see more activities for the teens but the staff went out of their way to come up with things for them after we let them know the teens were bored.
The Discover St. Lucia excursion was great and Vivian and our driver "Yellow" were just great. We had such a good time with the wedding party from Buffalo that we met.
Overall everything was wonderful and I will definetly return with a group next year!!!!

There were 39 of us staying at the hotel for two friends wedding. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely glass of bubbly!! Check in was quick and easy. Our rooms were lovely, fairly basic but clean comfortably and a fantastic air con system!!! The hotel caters for all types of people. There are three lovely swmming pools, one with a swim up bar. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, (apart from the ladys at the photo shop). They are all very friendly and alway go out of their way to keep you entertained!!! The main restaurant is nice, with a great choice of food. There is also occasional bbq's out side which are great too. The two restaurants upstairs are lovely, the food is brilliant! Evening entertainment is great, always something going on. Then you have the bar/club upstairs which we often went to for late drinks!!! The wedding organiser Janell is brilliant, she was such a help to our friends and nothing was too much trouble. If you have spare cash visit the spa, Its well woth it, even if its just to see Yvonne, a really lovely lady. Overall all 39 of us had a brilliant holiday and I beleive we would all definatly go back if we could.

We had a lovely week at Coconut Bay and it is probably the one resort that we will return to, as soon as next year, if possible. We have been to 5 stars in the Caribbean and Mexico and as far as I am concerned, this resort has all you could ask for, unless it is lobster, smoked salmon and caviar. The food is tasty and enough variety for even the pickiest eater. The rooms are lovely and very clean. Personally, I loved the beach to the left of the resort and even in front of the spa found it very enjoyable even when it was choppy. ST Lucia is an eco paradise and I feel that we still have so much to explore next time. The only negative, and for us it really wasn't a big deal, is that snorkeling is not great on that side of the island and although we went to the snorkeling beach at Soufriere, we must say, it is maybe not as great as some of the other islands. We were also stung repeatedly be small jelly fish or sea aunts, as we were told, We are not sure which. This did not however spoil our trip and we saw it as a trade-off for all the many other wonders this island has to offer.
I would also say that we always felt safe and walked in Vieux Fort which is about a forty-five minute walk from the resort and we were never approached or hassled in any way, but were met with warm smiles from many.

The world is your oyster. Go and enjoy
