“a good value hotel”

We stayed from the 1st january till 8th january in the splash side with our 16 mth old. Having stayed previously at the Body Holiday in St Lucia this was not on that par but as a family it met our needs. The pools were excellent, the kids pool with its easy beach style gradiant into the pool was excellent for our young son. The quality of food was excellent. Delicious, fresh food and in abundance. People who say otherwise either have ridiculously high expectations, like unhealthy options or don't have good taste buds. A particular big thank you to mary on omlettes for tirelessly and quietly delivering delicious omlettes every day. The waiting staff in the buffet and restaurants are excellent and you are rarely left so long with an empty plate on the table or your water not full. Shalander is excellent, smiley and so professional and made such an efforto to enterian our young son Edward. Fifi also. I read on reviews that the front desk team are not that friendly, again totally untrue. They could not be more friendly. Lenita and co. Kids club, Mia and Alice are also great and I recommend kids club to those wanting a little break. People who had older kids said there children loved it so much they wanted to continue going. The only drawbacks I think of is that if you are a beach lover and dream of looking out onto clear carribean waters this isn't the resort for you. Its choppy, and merky and windy and whilst great for kite surfing not a beach paradise. Being a pool person it did not deter us. The rooms are pretty are dated but usable again not top of our priority in considering a location but if it is then bear in mind. The shower though works but its no power shower. To summarise, it was the ideal winter break for us. Would we return no, but not due to any fault with Coconut bay, just a lot of different hotels and countries to visit. A good 3 star resort.

Room Tip: higher floors in splash have sea views.

This is the best vacation i have had. The resort was beautiful, landscape and flowers were always kept nice by trevor he was always hard working every time i saw him. :) also the people who are employeed there are kind, helpful, respectful, and would give the shirts off there back to make sure you and your family are completely happy. a few of the people i found to be great were dan who works in the buffett, fenton, wayne, ken, cathrine, ritney and last but not least junias you are an incredible person making everyone's time at the adult bar so much fun. everyone keep up the good work!!! will be returning there soon for more fun and relaxation. :)

We really enjoyed the resort, which was perfect for our needs. It is only a few minutes from the airport; the resort provided a shuttle bus (so no need for a taxi). The resort was well maintained, comfortable and well designed to accommodate the different target groups of guests. The food was good and varied; the resort made a good effort to provide entertainment which was appreciated. The staff were professional, kind and friendly.

The kite-boarding worked out well, despite the winds being generally light. My partner, who does not kite-board, enjoyed the beach (which was always clean) spa, gym and tennis courts. The facilities at the resort were generally satisfactory although the experience would have been enhanced had there been mountain bikes available and more/better yoga classes.

Room Tip: For couples in the Harmony wing, choose a garden level room on the far side of the building (furthes...

This resort is only 4 miles away from the airport, but you are not distracted from the planes because they are all flying out during the day. We hade a Harmony ground level room which was nice. Most I liked about the resort was that you didn't have to walk miles to get to the pool, restaurants, or enterainment. Pools were always clean, there was always a lot of staff around day and night and there was always a breeze. During the day, you could sit by the pool with a clear view of the ocean at the same time, or you could sit by the ocean. The buffet food was above average, not excellent, but excellent is hard to achieve with buffet food! The grill by the pool had good food, but there was alway a line and it took a while to get since it was all made to order. There was always pizza and nachos available.
My only complaint was the bathroom in our room. It could have used a new shower or a bathroom update.
I enjoyed the staff, no matter what job they had, they would all speak and say hello, or willing to help you with anything. When you arrive, you are greeted with drinks, which was nice. They also have a Coconut Bay Resort booth at the airport and provide free transportation from the airport to the resort.
I have been to a lot of resorts, and this is one resort I would go to again.

Room Tip: Get a ground level room

The staff and managment are second to none... the resort was undergoing some renovation which spoilt things a little had this not been the case i don't think i could have found real faults... whilst the resort is on the atlantic side of the island and can produce some dramtic weather fronts the over all layout and service / s i found to be first rate... as i was there getting wed for the first time it was so relaxed and easy, every thing was covered all we had to was turn up say our vows swap rings and before you konw it you've married the girls of your dreams stress free in an exotic location.... "word to the wise" unless you're comfortable going of the beaten track and immersing yourself in local culture "don't" away from the tourist areas it is quite a poor place and things could go very wrong very quick!

Room Tip: It depends on what you want the resort is devided into family and adult only sides which I found to...

We decided to go somewhere hot for new Year. The hotel is so close to the airport but you are not disturbed by the infrequent landings and take offs. The position is good with a nice breeze meaning that the temperature is managable. Pools are a good size and there's lots of availability of sun beds. My main issue is the quality of food and service. OK, this is all inclusive but we have stayed at similar in Egypt, Cuba and Antigua and this is by a distance, the worst for variety of food. Most eveings there's no starter to speak of and one main course being prepared 'live'. The sweets are minimal. The best tip I can give is to use the grill bar by the pool where they prepare snacks fresh. If you can avoid the queues, this is where you should go. Regarding service, aside from maybe two stafff, the rest of them look badly managed and disinterested in you as a customer. Normally when you tip someone at these kind of places, they at least remember you the next time you order. Not here. You may as well have been from Mars. The staff are lazy and largely unattentive. The guy called Big Ted behind the nearest bar seems to think he rules the place. He's especially good at hiding with a spanner and watching the football! The Entertainment team were OK but not a patch on the other places I have mentioned above. The reason I gave this a 3 and not a 2 star rating is that the one thing that was done really well was the New Year's party which had great food, service and entertainment. And there is the rub - this shows what could be done for a little application and effort. The management need to be seriously reviewed. The bedrooms are basic. Our phone was never fixed and the showers are generally cold after 5pm. We also saw the odd cockroach. Finally, this resort costs 50% more than Cuba for half the delivery. Go there.

We just arrived home from an awesome family vacation. The kids are sad as so are we but we have now learned how to "Live Slow". Cbay was a great time. So much to do for the kids and older one,s as well. I can honestly recommend this resort to anyone. The staff was first class and so down to earth. We all made life long relationships. The adventures offered were so much fun. Totally recommend the catamaran land and sea tour and the Dennery zip line adventure through the rain forest..
The pools, water park and the mile long Cbay beach were spectacular...O the swim up bar hosted by my buds Mitch and Fatta and their lovely "boss Kay Kay" also made the experience amazing!!
New Year's Eve was a blast!!!
This is a place for everyone.....

Thanks CBay

Room Tip: For families of more then 5 connecting rooms on the 3rd or 4th floor is highly recommended. Spectac...
