We went as a group for lunch. We all had different meals. All were really good. Their premise is fresh and local and it works.
The servers are wonderful and would get you anything to make your visit a great one.
.
Would suggest reservations as it is a small restaurant and one of the locals favourites,
It also has a small store just next door that you can get frozen meals. Very handy,

The porch at the Windjammer is a very pleasant location for dinner on a warm August evening. This restaurant barbeques lightly seasoned pickerel and pan fries perch, both of which are obtained from the local fishing fleet. My pickerel was accompanied by delicious roasted string potatoes and carrots. My wife's food allergies were accommodated with a special order of green peas and spinach. Both meals were delicious and wine prices were very reasonable.

Unlike some other Trip advisor members, we were not asked about reservations and were seated and served quickly, efficiently and with courtesy. We would return for another delicious meal, obviously prepared by an excellent chef.

My husband and I heard some nice revues for this restaurant but upon visiting on September 1st, we were rudely told by a wait staff that 'We're far too busy unless you have reservations'. She didn't seem to notice that inside, the tables were completely empty and on the out side patio, there were also empty tables. Since this was around 2:00 p.m. it wasn't around the lunch hour and it was well before the dinner hour so we thought we'd be pretty safe. We found another restaurant that was just down the street and the food was great and at half the price. Try the Buccaneer if you want friendly staff and good food.

Two of us searched this place out because of their recent reviews on tripadvisor.

They had obvious seating available, however when asked if we may be seated we were greeted by... Hmm Do you have a reservation?
Oh...really, you don't have a reservation, well... I'm sorry we are far too busy to serve any more people.

Lol.. It was 1:45 in the afternoon and there were obvious tables available with more tables freeing up.
I think they simply like to hear themselves say... Do you have a reservation.

Just finished first coarse at the Buccaneer... So far, 10 out of 10.
And you don't need reservations.
