We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was excellent. It is situated off the road in its own grounds, a very quiet spot. We stayed in a superior king suite (Strathspey) that was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was plentiful, the evening meals were good value and well cooked by Lynsey and served by Alison, some of the best meals we have had. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Stayed here for two nights this August and really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly attitude.
The room was very good and Lindsay is a great cook. She and Alison made us feel most welcome in this small and charming place.
Their chalets looked good as well but we enjoyed the hotel.

My initial thought was to give this hotel a 4 out of 5 as I am used to staying in boutique hotels rather than small hotels or B & Bs. But, I can't think of any way to fault it apart from the fact that it's different to where I would normally choose. So, that would be unfair, hence the 5 out of 5.
Extremely clean, comfortable, spacious and welcoming. The food was great, especially the breakfast. And the owners, Alison & Lindsay were lovely too.
If you don't mind being a little outside the hustle and bustle of Aviemore, please support this small and friendly hotel with your booking.

Oh how I wish I had found this gem earlier. I have been working in Inverness for much of the last year and living out of my suitcase in local hotels. Some of the Inverness hotels are really nice but for me this place offers so much more. I have stayed in both the chalets and in the main hotel and they are faultless. The location is stunning and the accommodation very comfortable. I enjoyed going for a walk through the beautiful woodland trails on the hotels doorstep and then returning to my chalet to open a bottle of wine and watch the local wildlife stroll past my door; truly wonderful. I enjoyed it so much that I am hoping to take my family later this year for a week away from it all. Carrbridge is a charming village with lots to see and do on your doorstep and the advantage of being a 20 minute drive from Inverness to the North and Aviemore to the South. If you are bringing the kids the woodland adventure park next door looks great fun.

This small hotel is located in a lovely quiet spot off the road. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was of a high quality with plenty of choice and extra touches such as freshly made cheese scones. As others have already said, Lyndsey is an excellent cook. Both Alison and Lyndsey were very friendly and lovely hosts. It was also a pleasure to see red squirrels in the trees around the property, especially as we only see grey ones at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if returning to area.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was excellent. It is situated off the road in its own grounds, a very quiet spot. The tree at the front of the hotel is wonderful and gave us joy, watching the birds and red squirrels. The grounds are superb, set in forests and it is easy to access the various walks around the area. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and comfortable with all you need. Alison and Lynsey are very friendly, and, as a previous reviewer said, it felt like you were staying with friends. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was plentiful, as were the evening meals, some of the best meals we have had. We would definitely stay again and do not hesitate to recommend to others.

This small guesthouse is charming and comfortable. The setting is off the "main drag" in Carrbridge (itself a tiny and pleasant town). It's in the woods and is next to a very small pond and a lovely forest. The building is quaint but the rooms are large with modern baths. The breakfast area is a greenhouse with a lovely view of the grounds. The breakfasts are hearty and well presented. The owners were gracious and very helpful in planning local tours, etc. Would go back for sure. It's a great jumping off point for the Highlands with access to Loch Ness, the Cairngorns and the various castles and distilleries that the area is known for.

Room Tip: Rooms have a "homey" quality with simple but comfortable furniture. An oddity was the sink...
