We ate in the bar area on wednesday night. Lucilky got there early as, even although it is not peak tourist season, it soon filled up! Good mixture of locals and toursits all eating there too. Huge portions on a good menu of hearty pub grub, including fish pie, cajun fries -recommend these, chicken& game pie, as well as the usual burgers etc. You would expect on a bar menu. The pudding was good too and as far as can tell was all home made food. Planning on returning again this evening. Good drinks selection also, ie local beers and good gin selection. The house wine wasnt the best, but drinkable.

We visited on a Friday night at 6pm to get in before the crowds and were almost too late. The bar was full and bouncing but there were tables in the restaurant area. This is adjacent to the bar and we were pleased to be there as we could chat, where it might have been a bit noisy in the bar. It's a great balance having the two different eating areas. The food was great, huge portions (nearly defeated the other half!) and well presented dishes. The menu is fairly varied and could be described as posh pub grub. House wine was good and decently priced.

We arrived in Carrbridge not knowing where to eat and found this gem by chance. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked and just turned up. It was very busy so the service was very very slow but the wait was worth it. I had a game pie which was really tasty and my husband had fish and chips which looked lovely and my husband said was very good. My son as always had a steak. The portions were very generous and none of us could manage a pudding. Even though the service was very slow we went back a couple of nights later to eat there again. It wasn't as busy and so the service was much better. The food was very good, make sure if you do go to be really hungry. The staff were lovely and did there best on the busy night but I think they just had too many people for the kitchen to cope. Having said that I couldn't complain about the standard of the food.

The best place to eat in Carrbridge, and the wifi works well enough especially if you get a seat in the bar area

We have spent most nights here during our holiday! It's lovely and cosy with a log fire and a lovely hubbub of chatter. The beer and whisky are second to none! When we had our dinner here it was delicious and huge portions! I would highly recommend this bar and restaurant:) Ee will definitely be back!
