We just finished a 5 night stay in the Carrmoor Guest House and Restaurant in Carrbridge, Scotland. It was wonderful in all regards. The proprietors, Michael and Christine were welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the available activities, providing maps and brochures when possible. Michael is a terriffic chef, so we ate in on 3 of the 5 nights of our stay. Christine is a cheerful and genuine as they come. The home was quiet and spotlessly clean. The town is in Cairngorms National Park near Aviemore, but much more authentic and pleasant than touristy Aviemore. What a treat, it made our vacation so enjoyable.

Room Tip: we had room 3 which overlooks the green, shaded backyard

My husband and I have stayed here on previous occasions and it is so friendly and clean and the hosts Christine and Micheal cannot do enough for you.
My husband kevin and his 3 friends were touring scotland on their motorbikes and stayed there for 2 nights. All 4 of them thought that Carrmour was the jewel in the crown!!! They loved it and as for the food, well they are now all on diets.
The breakfast set them all up for the day, and Both Christine and Micheal are fantastic hosts and it is pleasure to stay at Carrmour Guest House.

Thank you

Room Tip: All the rooms are fantastic, verclean and warm. Lovely fresh fluffy towels

Carrmoor Guest House is a lovely guest house, that looks stunning form the outside and that has very friendly hosts. Christine and Michael work very hard to make their guests really feel at home. Christine never really seems to be at ease, almost trying to do something extra for her guests.

Lots of information was available at the guest house. Breakfast was good. We even had diner at the guest house, but unfortunately, that was not so good, more like eating at home. But there are not many other options in Carrbridge, so it is a handy option. Our room was very special, with a very cosy atmosphere.

Could not fault this B&B on anything! Run by Christime and Michael Stitt, Christine is so welcoming and attentive, the perfect host.......and Michael, an ex hotel head chef, provides the kind of food (including a la carte menu) you don't expect to find in a B&B. Would recommend anyone to go there!

We had a lovely stay with a warm welcome from the owners Michael and Christine who let us settle in our room before providing tea/coffee in the exceptionally comfy lounge! Bedroom was beautifully decorated and v.comfortable and brand-new bathroom with a decent shower.

Added bonus is that restaurant inside; small but perfectly formed, serves evening meals, with Michael a former chef. Saved us the hassle of going somewhere when we wanted an early night due to plans to climb CairnGorm the following day.

Breakfast delicious and the perfect fuel for the stay! All in all, a beautiful B&B; my partner's comment was: 'You've done it again!' (ie. found us a lovely place to stay!)

Stayed here for one night as a stop over but, with hindsight, wish it could have been longer. A warm reception was followed up by attentive and extremely personable hospitality throughout our short stay. Christine and Michael couldn't have looked after us any better. The whole place was spotless and cosy, the catering was first class, unusual to have a dinner option in a B&B but highly recommended. Everything on the extensive menu was available even though we were the only guests in for the evening! We felt like part of their home and would love to stay here again.

A warm welcome from Christine set the tone for the whole stay. She, her Mum, and Michael made us feel like visiting friends and worked really hard to make us feel spoiled. The guest house is spotless and stylishly presented - many rooms are refurbished. Our twin room was fresh and cosy with comfortable beds, and the ensuite shower room had a new heated towel rail as well as a wall heater.
The lounge was comfy and welcoming with a real coal fire and TV - a great place for a natter before and after dinner.
The evening meals were amazing - provided by ex-head chef Michael from an extensive menu, but if you only have breakfast, it's delicious.
The guest house is in a quiet location just off the main road through the village, and is handy for many terrific tourist attractions.
We were only due to stay one night but were so delighted that we stayed another, and are likely to join the many returners who enjoy being cosseted by these hard-working hosts.
