Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Winner of 'The Perfect Family Day Out' but Visit Scotland and The Daily Mail, Landmark Forest Adventure Park also won Mumsnet 'Best Outdoor Playground' award. Where else can you twist and turn through the trees on a family friendly roller-coaster, take the plunge down one of three water coasters and even get the chance to walk through an amazing tropical hot-house with hundreds of stunningly beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers!? Be intrigued at the world’s first Bamboozeleum right here in the Cairngorms; you’ll enter a magical gallery of illusions and puzzles to test the sharpest of wits. See infinity rooms, morphing machines, thermal imagery and more that will fascinate the youngest to the wisest of minds. Take an adventure down to the Wonderwood where nothing is as it seems! Here you will find three mind-boggling cabins where the normal rules of physics simply don’t apply. Which one will be your favourite – The Spinning Vortex, Topsy Turvy Room or the Growing-Shrinking Room? For those looking for a real challenge why not take on RopeworX, the first high-ropes course of its kind in the UK. According to scientists you are officially 98% monkey, so now’s your chance to put their theory to the test. Harness up and step up to the plate! For those under 1.5m, the Tarzan Trail offers a great alternative and the Wee Monkey Trail is absolutely ideal for those aged 2-5. Perhaps the mightiest challenge of them all though is Skydive. Skydive is a pure adrenaline experience, just harness up, climb the mast to 50 feet and step off… easy! Just don’t let the nerves get the better of you! The latest addition to the park is the Butterfly house, which is an amazing tropical hot-house with hundreds of stunningly beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers. Watch close-up as they hatch, fly and feed on nectar and fruit. Make sure to look out for the recently added Asian Quail, scuttling through the undergrowth! Are you brave enough to follow in the footsteps of the Lost Explorer to the safety of The Amazing Tree Mansion? Bubbling mud pools, dangerous caverns, dangerous creatures and a magic waterfall gateway are just a few of the challenges that will bring your adventurous family lots of laughs and scares on the way. Don’t forget to take in the beauty and tranquillity of the 10,000 year old forest via the Tree Top Trail. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some rare, red squirrels on the way! If you enjoy this walkway, then you’ll love the panoramic views from the top of the Forest Tower. Families have been enjoying Landmark Forest Adventure Park for nearly 50 years and with all these great activities on offer, it’s a must-do for any family in the Cairngorms National Park!

We spent a full day at this adventure park near Aviemore in Scotland with our two grandsons aged 9 and 7 years. We all had a super day with a great range of activities that will enthral any adventurous youngster (and their parents and grandparents.)
High ropes courses for different ages, jungle gym type activity, sky dives for the over 150cm tall group and the science in the Bamboozled Centre is as good if not better than the Science Centre in London and all at a very reasonable family price.

Recently visited the Landmark Park during the Easter break, had a great time. The children enjoyed the challenge of the aerial assault course, whilst harnessed up -- a great test of balance and nerve, which they met with gusto! They especialy enjoyed meeting up with Lexy the Clydesdale Horse, and were totaly engrossed with his demonstrations!
There are lots of other things to do, but just to take a walk along the trails is a joy in its simple beauty!

I visited Landmark Forest Park during an Easter break with my 2 year old son. It is an outdoor park, so if it rains like it did when we visited, there isn't much to do apart from visit Bamboozelum, which has things like optical illusion exhibits and is very good.

There is lots to see, the main highlights being Treetop/Red Squirrel Trails, Water Slides, Steam Sawmill/Clydesdale Horse. A lot of the activities we couldn't do, as my son was too small but they looked excellent. The surrounding forest is beautiful and definitely an area of Scotland children should see.

My son enjoyed it very much and so did I. There were only a couple of things that could be better:
1. The price of the food is high for what you get.
2. There isn't a lot for under 4's. The mini cars are great but they do cost an extra £1. An indoor soft play area/ball pool or little activity centre would be ideal and handy in bad weather.

Apart from that, great place I would visit again.

Seriously.....how nice are the staff at Landmark?
How good was it to be back for another season?
How great is the value of a season ticket compared to a day ticket?

If you can answer all these questions with a big fat POSITIVE, then you are in agreement with me that Landmark is a great place to visit.....apart from the weather.....but we can't hold them responsible for that!

So, if you read my earlier review you will know that I had an issue about the admission charges for disabled visitors. Well, I followed up my issues with the GM there, a particularly nice guy, who welcomed my feedback with interest and gratitude. He promised to look into the possibility of extending the 50% discount on day tickets for disabled visitors, to include the same offer for SEASON tickets. He was also interested to receive my 'disabled persons eye view' of the Landmark experience with a view to making the park more disabled-friendly. How refreshing....top marks to you!

Anyway, the result is that Landmark are trialling the 50% discounted season ticket for disabled visitors for the 2013 season to see how it goes.

So come on disabled people, get out there with your families and have a great season for only £12ish at Landmark - you'll be glad you did (so will I, because if there is enough demand the discount may be back next season!). Blue Badge parking right at the entrance too!

For clarification, proof of disability is covered by:
Attendance Allowance certificate/book
War Pension Mobility Supplement award letter
Blind/Partially Sighted certificate
Invalidity Benefit certificate/book
DVLS letter (medical condition stated)
Registration as profoundly or severely deaf
Social Services 'Blue Badge'

We recently visited Landmark forest adventure for the first time, during the Easter holidays. We weren't sure if our 5 1/2 year old daughter would like it.
But after spending 4 hours there she turned round & told us that it was the best day she had this year so far.
When we arrived the main car park was full & had to use the overfill / 2nd car park behind the park which was a good distance away from the main entrance & very muddy. So if possible try & get a space in the main car park.
Once we were in it wasn't as busy as the car park suggested which was good. All the staff were very informative & seemed to be well trained in the various disciplines, which was reassuring when your dangling about on the end of a rope.
There was plenty to do & see & the queue's moved at a reasonable speed so you weren't waiting to long to get on the next adventure.
Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone not just the outdoor type, great fun for all the family.
