This inn is opposite the prison. The weather was awful and I am sure that this detracted from the very old inn's charm. The room and bathroom were large - we stayed in the so called delux room no 8 having moved from room no 7 as the shower over the bath was missing. The owner of the hotel is very kind and helpful and would do anything he could to look after you during your stay.
Unfortunately he had to cope on his own and so the bed was often not made and the cups in the room were not washed up. We stayed for one week and the bed was not changed during that time. We did get clean towels when we asked for them. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water though there was no soap or shower liquid in the room. It was a very quiet location which was good.
Cooked breakfast was whatever you wanted and he even went and bought fish for my husband to have one morning.
On two of the days he put together a very nice lunch hamper which we enjoyed.
Be aware that the inn does not take credit cards only cheques or cash.
There is a WIFI connection at the hotel but we could not get it to connect to our computer unfortunately.More
