Simply the best coffee ( my favourite is the small cappuccino) around. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and service. Makes my week ends!! Great food too.

We had granola fruit salmon bagel and a lovely coffee. Really nice atmosphere ...stayed all morning reading the papers feeling very "hove" ...Great Hove high street location too.

Great place, has plenty of options apart from coffee (shame they don't do the jasmine tea anymore!).

Sandwiches (more like rolls) are fresh and the lemon drizzle is superb.

I like their music and the book exchange for £1 (fundraising for the charity rocking horse)

The only downside is newspapers & magazines, not many around...

Regularly come here for business meetings or to grab a coffee on the run, which ever it is on the day the service is always fantastic and the coffee / food always fresh and good quality. Not good for large groups but highly recommended for a quick stop / small bit too eat.

Absolutely the best coffee in the area, so nice to be able to enjoy a latte with organic milk! Could do a wider selection of sizes however. The chocolate brownie was small but so rich and probably one of the best I've ever tasted. Bit concerned about how hygienic the juicer is, but great to offer juice although disappointed to learn its not cold pressed. Porridge a little on the expensive side.

Hello and thanks for the thoughtful review.

We're always working on our coffee - training, sourcing, etc. - so it's nice that it's being noticed. The cup sizes relate to traditional coffee drinks recipes that were originally designed to accentuate the beautiful coffee flavours and aromas over the milk, and to be drunk relatively quickly (before the coffee 'flattens out'). We stay away from the modern high-street sizes as they would require too much coffee to create a nice balance with the milk and are generally designed to be sold with flavoured syrups. Also, the coffee will taste pretty horrible by the end of the cup and we don't want to be associated with these kinds of drinks.

I want to reassure you that our juices are, and always have been, cold-pressed - that is, if you understand 'cold-pressed' to be juice made from fresh fruit and veg with no processing, no heating and juiced fresh to order. I'm sorry if any of our staff gave you a different impression (perhaps a misunderstanding of the term?). We've recently upgraded to a new (and quite expensive) Robot Coupe J80 commercial juicer in order to improve the quality and consistency. We flush water through the juicer until clear between orders to ensure there is no cross-contamination of flavours, and the whole unit is washed and sanitised buy hand each night after we close.

I'm sorry that you feel the porridge is overpriced and I will take this to our new kitchen manager for review asap. As we are about to launch our new kitchen at the end of January, and we are aiming to create a breakfast menu that is on par with our coffee, this will be good timing for such a revision.

Thanks again for your comments. I hope you find this response helpful.
