7 of us (all adults) went to this pub for a Sunday roast as it had been recommended to us. We were all impressed by the interior and the warm friendly greeting from the staff. The bar had a nice range of ales, lagers, ciders and soft drinks to cater for all our needs. We ordered beef, lamb and vegetarian roasts, all arrived at the same time, were freshly prepared and tasted delicious. Also our puppy dog was catered for with a bowl of water and some doggy treats!
Even after the main courses, 3 desserts and 3 rounds of drinks the bill only came to approximately £20 per head. All in all a very pleasant afternoon and great value for money

Love this pub. Worth the walk into Poet Corner. Beautifully decorated, great service, good value food, nothing pretentious about this place, stay local and do the pubs in Poets and stagger off home. No taxi required!

I have been lucky enough to eat here a number of times, and each time I have been pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions. The standard of the food is excellent, so be served such high quality food at such good prices is always a pleasure.
Atmosphere is friendly and they love kids, dogs, everyone. Well worth a visit.
