Eight of us for lunch and we opted for the roasts. Beef, pork and chicken options. Beef melted in your mouth and belly roasted pork had lovely crisp cracklin. My four year old grandson had a piece of cod specially cooked for him with vegetable. Vegetables came in a roasting dish with potatoes, carrots, parsnips and lovely lightly cooked greens. Starters and desserts were delicious. Service was excellent and wine choices superb. Atmosphere was buzzy and children obviously welcome. Would definitely go again now we have discovered it.

What a lovely place and great food. Looks tacky from the outside, but the inside is great. Not sure about the skinny chips but the soup and burgers were delicious. Great service too!

We only ever came here for breakfast so I can't comment on dinner / lunch. The breakfast was excellent and the service very good. The meal consisted of decent quality ingredients and they cooked my eggs correctly (soft poached can often be misinterpreted). The coffee was good.

We had a 3 year old with us and the waiter brought colouring books without being asked. A nice touch.

It's nice to see people sitting outside on a sunny day drinking lager at breakfast time and not assume they're alcoholics. It's just Brighton (or Hove actually)

Visited on a Friday evening and booked a table for four in advance, though it would not have been necessary as there were a few spare tables. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. They clearly knew the character of the wines on their list. The menu is not too long but there is choice for every palette. We had pigeon breast, polenta and mussels as starters. We were disappointed that the mussels did not come with bread (to soak up the lovely jus) but some was brought (free) after we asked. Main courses we had were various fish and the vegetarian tapas - a real find. Desserts and cheese all lovely. Can't really praise the food high enough.

Just had the most amazing Sunday roast here... I had the slow roast belly pork and it was cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth meat and fantastic crackling. The veg were lovely too, staff very friendly and helpful. I would really reccomend this restaurant, it is also very 'child friendly'
