“Excellent apartment in a good location”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We stayed at the apartment for a week during July; 2 couples, a baby and a dog. A well specified apartment with modern equipment and excellent facilities. 2 good bathrooms and an excellent kitchen. Nice comfortable bedrooms. Very suitable for a young baby. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Wi-Fi and sky sports, too. Despite it being probably the hottest week of the year the apartment itself remained cool and there was a lovely garden for relaxing in.

A good location close to the beach and local shops (including a large Tesco), coffee bars and pubs. Brighton Centre was a pleasant walk away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

“Amazing high quality apartment”
Reviewed June 22, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I booked the beach hut apartment for my friends hen weekend at the beginning of June. Right from the start Fiona the owner was very friendly and helpful.
When we arrived we were so impressed, the apartment is immaculate and beautifully decorated to a very high standard. The garden is also beautiful and was lovely to chill out and chat in during our stay as the weather was very good. The apartment is very spacious. 8 of us stayed altogether but we also had the beach hut for even more space. The beach hut was lovely and actually quite spacious inside. One note about the beach hut is that light sleepers would be best off staying in the apartment. Deeper sleepers wouldn't have any trouble though as my friend slept very well in there.
Fiona left us a bottle of Cava which was a lovely touch and a great way to toast the start of the weekend.
Having 2 gorgeous bathrooms was also really good as 4 of us shared each bathroom which left us all with plenty of time to get ready.
It is about a 20 minute walk into Brighton along the front which is great but taxi's are also very cheap to take and there are plenty of buses that run along the front if you don't fancy the walk.
Everyone and especially the hen had a great weekend and the beach hut apartment made it extra special. I would highly recommend it and would also be interested to stay in Fiona's smaller apartment if going back with a smaller group.

“Fantastic base for family stay in Hove”
Reviewed May 9, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We rented both the beach hut apartment and the smaller "balcony apartment", which is upstairs in the same building to house our extended family over the weekend of my sister's wedding. We booked through Crown Gardens, but most of our contact was directly with the owner, Fiona, who was extremely helpful throughout and did everything possible to accommodate our needs. The beachhut apartment has two large bedrooms (one ensuite), a nice big master bathroom and a large kitchen / diner / living room leading to the private garden at the rear (which also houses the beachut). The beachhut (extra charge) made a great additional bedroom, and was warm and cosy even though the weather was terrible during our stay. Everything is tastefully decorated to a high standard, and the apartment contained everything we could possibly have needed during our stay. Even though it is technically a basement flat, it is lovely and warm and has plenty of light - so never felt in anyway like living in a basement. The only slight downside was the cooking utensils (lack of decent pans and sharp knives etc), which could have been better. The location is great, 5 minutes walk to the sea and to a large Tesco where we did most of our shopping. Easy parking for at least two cars in the street behind the apartment, with convenient rear access through the back garden. Highly recommended for groups needing a place for a few days or longer in Hove! Would happily stay there again.

Hi Roy,
Thanks for your kind comments and just to let you know that at the beginning of April I did a review of the utensils and pots/pans in the apartments and updated and replaced accordingly. I look forward to your return visit.
Many thanks,

“Classy and spacious base for Brighton”
Reviewed April 28, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Having booked this apartment as our base for running the Brighton marathon, we were delighted by its convenient location (about a 15 minute walk to central Brighton), lovely décor, and spacious layout. The flat was scrupulously clean, tastefully decorated, and a peaceful place to relax in Brighton and Hove. The neighbourhood was quiet, but with an extensive Tesco and other shops and pubs nearby. (The flat itself was completely quiet, but the beach hut will suit heavy sleepers best, since seagulls sometimes land on its roof!) The landlady was very helpful, answering emails promptly and keeping in touch by text, and generously giving us a late check-out so that we could recover properly from the marathon. A wonderful home-away-from-home for runners and non-runners alike!

Hi charlotte,
Thanks for your great and honest review just to let you know that the black out blinds in the sitting room / patio door area were removed earlier on this year due to essential repairs. New blinds have been purchased and will be re-installed over the Easter weekend and I apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused to those sleeping in the lounge area during your weekend visit. Kind regards , Fiona

“Great apartment, great location perfect for our golf weekend!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Having searched widely for somewhere to stay in Brighton, for our annual golf weekend away, this apartment seemed to tick all the boxes. Well priced, good location, enough beds and a good array of photos.

When we arrived it exceeded all our expectations, plenty of space for the 6 of us, clearly enough for 8 or more (with the beach hut in the garden) and finished as well as a hotel twice the price. Off street parking for 2-3 cars, beautiful bathrooms, well equip kitchen + BBQ, sky sports on the telly....what more could we ask for?! To top it off, a lovely owner with golf course recommendation and very understanding when we needed to check out late due to a few too many drinks the night before.....

The area was very convenient, close to the beach front but far enough from the centre so as to avoid late night noise yet not to far away to walk home. Tesco nearby was a lifesaver and the local curry house was fantastic. The nearby golf courses were great, especially Singing Hills and West Hove. The only negative...we had to go home and back to work on Monday.

Highly recommended for golfers and non-golfers alike.

Thanks for a great weekend.
