“Fabulous dining experience”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

We had the tasting menu with the accompanying drinks and it was a wonderful experience. Each dish was carefully prepared, visually stunning and offering different taste sensations. A mildly curried parsnip soup with drunken raisins with a light dry sherry was the exquisite start to the meal. The glasses of wine were full servings.
Bread served with 3 different butters. All of the 7 courses and drinks were a delight and when I couldn't eat one of the ingredients it was no trouble to find me a substitute. The service matched our pace beautifully and we never felt rushed or neglected. The set price menus offer very good value and no worries about the bill at the end.
But if you want a big pile of steak and chips or burger and chips then you're in the wrong place. This is intricate food for people who savour food.

“Excellent dinner with friendly service”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

I have been to Graze for a family lunch where we took over the restaurant and was very impressed. This is the first time we have been for dinner and the food was excellent, well presented without being fussy and the service was efficient and friendly. The wine list has very good wines at very fair prices. We ate late and had everything we wanted to eat. A nearby table was making a ridiculous fuss because one of the options had run out (apparently there is a trip advisor theme running here). If you want fresh food well cooked in an intimate restaurnat occasionally one of the options will run out. If however you want the restaurant to stock enough food that whatever you choose will always be in stock, I recommend going to Macdonalds as they will be able to take it out of the freezer.

“A special night out”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We went here for a friends birthday as a party of 7 and we were the only people in the restaurant. They staff we pleasant and attentive even making my other half a cocktail that was not on the menu. The food was gorgeous and beautifully presented....and we were given lots of lovely tit bits in between courses! We had the set menu at £34 (ish) for 3 courses which was good value considering the quality.

Oh and the loos are fabulous!

“Lovely food, strange hostess”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Our first romantic getaway to Brighton as an early valentines day present, we booked for a late night meal, arriving earlier than planned didn't seem to impress the hostess but we were seated anyway after pointing out the fact they moved people around for us, causing us to feel awkward. Not only this but we are a young couple very early 20s, and the fact that we were surrounded by older people didn't put us off but it was clear the way the hostess looked and acted towards us, was as if she felt she was babysitting. There was a 7.50 service charge, that wasn't mentioned on their website nor over the phone when enquiring. And bottled water that they "offer" you at seating does add onto your bill so beware.
Other than that food was exquisite, I had the terrine, venison. My partner the soup and pheasant. However in terms of costing 70 quid for 2 people just on the water for a 2 course meal- I'd expect more than what can only be described as a handful portion of food for each course was a bit lacking in value.

“Very friendly and helpful”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Visited for 70 th birthday Sunday lunch with family group of 11 after reading good reports . Not an easy mix with two under 5s and several vegetarians . Nothing too much trouble for the staff to meet our various preferences and the list of questions which vegys always seem to ask ( not me ! ) .

Food was very nice , including a complimentary taster as apperative . Meat eaters all had belly pork , highly recommended

We booked for our party and noticed a number of " on the day " visitors turned away so be warned , reputation means busy at peak times

No complaints about food price or automatic service charge ( is this a brighton thing to charge 12.5 % , we had it all the time does not happen elsewhere )

We had Prosseco for toasts ,that was bit pricey I thought at £ 28 plus %
