“Ok, but not more”
Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

We were in the Park during the low season. The price is to high for what you get. 17.50 euro for 1 adult and also a 3 year old child have to pay which is unusable in Europe. plus you have to pay more than 6 euro for the parking place.
What do you get for the price? A parking place. Nearly the half of the outdoor attraction were closed cause of the low season. So at the end there is a small sea lion pool, a whale "house", a nicely done pirates playground, a film from the 90's with subtitle, a relatively small aquareef aquarium, an exhibition about the massive plan to secure netherland during heavy storms.
The best and most impressive part was the possibilty to see part of the "deltapark".

I had the feeling that they try to mix education and fun in one place which was not done perfect. It's not bad, but there is room for improvement.

I guess the summertime is better to visit the park, cause of the more outdoor attractions. Neverthless we as a family spent more than 4 hours there including lunch.

“Interesting park, but entrance fee is too high for what you get”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

It is in interesting park about the Delta Works and it is nice to be able to walk through and stand atop of a storm surge barrier. Besides that the park has some more attractions. However, the entrance fee is too high for what they offer. Best view of the Neeltje Jans part of the Delta Works is still from outside the park.

“We Enjoyed It !”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

I am not sure what people expect when they visit here. Yes, it is more of a water park and themed for children as much of it is outdoors and is like an amusement park BUT there is so much more !
There are exhibits inside which describe the area hundreds of years ago and how it was built up and populated . There are exhibits which take one through the devastating flooding that occurred in the middle of the 20th century and how the idea for this project came about. There are two movies which , yes , are fairly dated but still very informative, there is an excellent exhibit on Mussels - yes.... mussels. and we also did the boat ride out into the water which is a sweet way to finish up a day at this place. Plus the drive to and from the place over the highway over the water is very different from what we have here for highways in the states.
Yes, this place might be geared more for children, and yes it might be ""dated" but I am wondering what people are actually expecting in way of tourist attractions these days. We found this a very nice change of pace during our two weeks spent mostly in cities while overseas.

“great for families and people interested in the Delta works”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Basically a family park with slides, sea lions shows etc, it is at the same time great place to learn -for kids and adults alike - the history of Zeeland and the waters surrounding it and the reason for the locks built here. You can visit the shows, read/view the unbelievable feat accomplished here and see the structures from close up. A nice boat ride on the Schelde afterwards give you a perspective. Worth a visit.
