Easy to get to from Utrecht, take the train to Amersfoort and the 356 bus right outside the station. A large number of armored vehicles and artillery housed inside a modern along with numerous airplanes. All exhibits are well preserved with Dutch and some English placards. Just outside is a glider track and one can see gliders being launched. Several children's areas with interactive games will keep the kids occupied.

It is big and very bombastic. Lots and lots of tanks, planes and guns. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store if learning about warfare is your thing! Check it

This is an incredibly big and well presented museum of the Dutch armed forces.

It’s enormous, incredibly enormous, so put on walking shoes. The 360• cinema is very well done. There are many different displays and in the main hall and on the flight line you will find many different aircraft and military vehicles including many tanks.

This museum deals with military from many centuries ago to today.

A MUST SEE

My boyfriend and I visited the National Military Museum about a month ago, since my boyfriend is crazy about planes. But you do not need to be into planes alone to find this museum fascinating! The museum is filled with interesting military equipment, machines, uniforms and so on, and even though the place is huge, it's laid out in a visitor-friendly manner which means you'll cover the whole museum, if you just follow the museum's itinerary. Very well done! The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10-17, and the ticket costs 15 euro for adults. Highly recommendable museum!
