The food looked awesome. It tasted good too, but not better than we had expected considering the price. Two persons three-course à la carte meal and some (alcoholic) beverages for €75. The personel was kind in explaining the menu and the kitchen was flexible in adjusting to our dietary wishes. The toitlet looked very fancy. There's a nice kids play room in the basement. The terrace has a good atmosphere. All in all, the atmosphere, personell, and how the food looks were very good, but there were some faliures in the flavor, making the food not up to par with the rest. That being said, the menu looked like a creative chef at work and I expect our dishes to possibly be an exception.
Course by course flavor analysis:
As starter we had a brie-garlic soup and a pomodori soup that both tasted very good. Main course was a blue cheese and pear filled pastry that was a bit heavy on the sweet and the blue cheese tastes. It came with some quiche that tasted good, but was lukewarm and the flavors didnt seem to specifically support the flavors of the blue cheese and pear. My gf had fish ball dumplings that tasted good, but seemed like a mix of different kinds of fish. She had enough of the taste when she was half way, but note that she is very picky when it comes to fish. You get potatoes and a salad on the side. The salad was nothing special, but i appreciated the service. The potato balls were lovely, but unfortunately a bit oversalted. As a desert i chose fruit with limoncello cream. A great idea, but i would have liked to taste more limoncello.
