We were immediately welcomed into the restaurant and the host was extremely friendly throughout our visit. Because it was off season, it was not crowded. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the wild goose and lamb dishes. Both were excellent and came with a very generous selection of delicious side dishes served family style. Sides included potatoes, french fries, green beans, carrots, cabbage (a favorite of ours and a family secret recipe), and an amazing artichoke wrapped with ham and cheese (another favorite). We were surprised with how reasonable the bill came to with all the quantity and quality of main dishes, plus dessert and beverages. We would have gone back to this restaurant had we more time in Texel. We recommend this to all visiting Texel. Dutch, English, and German were spoken here.
