Never stayed in the hotel but have had great food in the Fine Restaurant.
Courteous and efficient reception. Both interior and patio seating. The patio and garden tables have great views of the Meuse River and the ferry across to the right bank just north of Arcen.
Our lunch in marvelous weather was very good. We stared out with excellent Coquilles St Jacques and Scampis (only two of each for each serving though, which seems too few for the price of 14 euros each dish); very good and crisply fried fish as a main course (generous helpings) with excellent French-fries and a good, fresh garden salad. The dessert, though, was a bit of a disappointment: now is the season here for all kinds of great, fresh (local) berries (raspberries, blue-berries, black berries, currants etc.); the kitchen could only come up with some cubes of pineapple, kiwi-fruit and a very few strawberries and two smallish scoops of strawberry sorbet; a missed chance to impress. Overall, though, the cuisine is fine and we had a most enjoyable lunch. Good and reasonably priced wine-list (try the 'biological' Italian wines).
Highly recommended for food and also for the great views of the River.More
