I stayed at the Sparrenhorst for multiple weeks while traveling for work. The food is good, the rooms comfortable, and the location is convenient. The staff works hard to recognize everyone. They started leaving gifts and welcome notes in my room, and always addressed me by first name. Also they will let you borrow a bicycle so that you can get around easier. A short walk takes you straight to the center of Nunspeet. The breakfast buffet is amazing.

We spent 2 nights in NH Sparrenhorst, booked online through the NH website.
Located in forested, quiet area, the hotel is easily accessible by car (large parking lot).
Going to Nunspeet town will take you some time on foot, car might be a better option.
We booked a special package, including dinner for 2 people. The way it was mentioned on the website, it looked like we were getting 2 nights and 2 dinners - needless to say, there was only 1 dinner included. Reception staff was very friendly, but couldn't do anything about the misunderstanding.
The restaurant is really good, in a peaceful and warm setting. We had our 6 month-old baby with us, they made no problem out of it in the restaurant.
Room had forest view, really quiet and offers good beds, small terrace and clean bathroom. No separate, you can use the bath with a (too small ?) screen.
The hotel pool and spa is good, although the pool looks bigger on the pictures. Some chairs are available. Lots of playing children in the pool, but since the hotel is suitable for families, it's something you might expect.
The Veluwe area is very easily explored from the hotel, you can even go on a hike starting from the hotel.
All in all, a very good place for a weekend out on the Veluwe !

Just some pro's and cons, please note this was a business trip

pro's
• good clean room
• nice and helpful staff
• nice treats during coffee breaks
• there is a pillow menu

Cons
• the second day the sandwiches at lunch were a little stale (I expect from the day before)
• if you keep the keycard next to the telephone it is deactivated

Read before you go!
I stay there for 6 nights with my
wife, in the first night no ones clean our room !!!
The internet also stop working in the room..
You can't go to the swim pool because there is every day learning for children from the city how to swim .
We pay lots of money for nothing.
Don't go there if you can find something else with available rooms.

Great location in the forest with an easy walk into town.
Rooms were very comfortable and the facilities especially the pool & sauna were much appreciated. Pleasant bar area with attentive staff.
Only bad point was that on check out they seemed not to knwo what they were doing & claimed the room had not been paid when on check in they had told us it was. Another guest had the same experience.
