A beautiful country manor with beautiful lawn and pastures framed by mature trees.
My 2nd visit in 4 years. My 1st was exceptionally memorable. Unfortunately the food disappoints this time. All this healthy living of lean meats have been doomed by chefs who don't know how to cook a tasty steak. The Maitre'd when shown my dry and raspy Irish rib-eye described what it was supposed to be, which was not on my plate. I changed to a simple plate of asparagus but that had all the sweetness boiled out of them.
That said, they did have a beautiful Iberica ham and did a innovative breaded with garlic asparagus starter that was deep fried.
Service was rushed because they had a full house. They did not remember who ordered what when the food came this time. And got one of the dishes wrong. Disappointing for a restaurant of this calibre.
Leave out any expectations of the food, it makes for a wonderful setting to while away an evening or brunch.
