just returned from two weeks all inclucive from the albir playa hotel and spa when first arrived the place looked lovely mabey a bit small but pleasing on the eye but when looking for bed space and room in the pool you find out just how small this place is beds all stuck togeather no room to move at all during the day at the pool the food while fresh and the eating area very clean it became very repedative for me while for the most part the staff were friendly and helpful having to give your room number every time you ask for anything even though you quit clearly had an all inclucive band on you became very very annoing for two weeks also when you see the staff in the eating area argueing once it is funny but when you see it more often then that it shows just how under pressure the staff in this hotel are and while you are on holidays you dont want to see this we spent most of the second week out of the hotel while it was nice at the beach and that it ment a lot more expence on me that i was not expecting having gone all inclucive all in all dont gohere if you want to enjoy your holiday

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for five nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and obviously work very hard to keep the guests happy. The rooms were clean and pleasant. We only had breakfast included with our room - this was plentiful. You would have to be a very fussy person to not be able to find something to eat. Our only criticism was that the pool area was small for the size of the hotel. But this was a blessing in disguise as it forced us to go down to the beach which was glorious! It is a pebble beach so rubber-soled beach shoes are a must (you can get them for €6 at la casa de los zapatos near the hotel). But the view is stunning and it was never too busy. There were also lots of families rather than the usual groups of hungovers brits that often frequent beaches abroad. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and albir as a holiday destination.

Hello, just back from Albir Playa Hotel & Spa. Mother & daughter 5 day/4 nights break...
As previously mentioned Beds are far too hard. Our room over looked the roundabout but was clean & quiet.
The beach ( pebbles ) was too far to walk but a hotel shuttle service was provided. Because it was in peak time, lots of family/children. pool is too small for amount of rooms/quests.
People as everywhere hogged the sunbeds before sun up and not enough sunshades to go round.
We found no where to sit in peace & quiet. This is a good hotel for young family but i would not recommend for just adults. Food was average.
The location good, a nice more refined area. I will not go back as there are many more hotel's that have bigger pools and garden areas to sit in , this did not have any garden areas.Everyone is on top of each other it is not relaxing, and not even a nice room to sit in , as it really is a lobby area.

We stayed one week at the Albir Playa with our two children aged 7 & 11 and we all enjoyed it. We would recommend it.
The +++:
- The welcoming and the amability of the staff: they have been super nice and smiling every single day, thank you so much!
- The design of the hotel (exterior of the rooms)
- All the buffets (except for the breakfast juices)
- We heard no noise at all (from the other rooms nor from the outside)
- The cleanliness was perfect
The ---:
- The room was a bit small, especially for 4 people (even if they call it "quadruple")
- The bathroom fit was a bit dated
- The pool side was too small for all the people
FYI, the hotel is not situated on the beach but at a 10 minutes walk from it, but it was not a problem and a very easy and nice way to walk. The beach was great and the village of Altea was beautiful.
We would return.

Traveled as a family of 2 adults & 1 child aged 9 all inclusive for 12 nights. The hotel grounds are so small, everyone is on top of each other. Pool is very small. You are given your all inclusive band when you check in, but if you want a drink, when you go for meals etc, you have to give your room number every time you go to bar even though you are wearing your band which was annoying. There is no entertainment in this hotel (there is nothing to do). My 9 year old was bored which meant he was sitting on our heads he had nothing to do, no kids of his age to play with. The hotel was full of toddlers. We had to get out of the hotel for the last 4 days we were getting institutionalized (whats your room number, everyone sitting in same spots, food getting repetitive etc). The one good thing was the hotel was spotless clean. Albir is lovely resort. Stayed in some lovely all inclusives but this does not come up to scratch, maybe if you are looking for a base & are going to hit the beach everyday try this hotel, but if you are going to stay around the hotel every day give this a miss (sorry hate giving bad reviews but have to be honest).
