We visited twice - the second time to ensure that the food was as good as we had experienced first time around. Hospitality met us at the door, and recognised us on the second occasion, which was excellent service. The ambience is slightly upmarket - minimalistic surfaces and clever lighting, but they also have a covered area outside on the quay, as an extension to the restaurant. This was fine in good weather, but not quite so warm on a cool, draughty evening. Ask to be seated indoors if you feel the cold.
The food was exquisite. We were introduced to Padron peppers, squid, octopus, enormous chunks of haddock - all beautifully prepared, and very tasty. We also had Albarino wine, which does complement the seafood very well. Service was good, and swift, and with charm.
On our return trip, we were entangled with a group of (middle aged) bikers - a big party of about 20, who were full of good cheer and a willingness to enjoy. The restaurant coped very well with them, and the whole evening turned into a well-orchestrated example of savoir-faire. Well done, Carmen!
