We found this restaurant on T/A and what a find it was for us. The reviews are on the button for this place. We made five visits. Greeting & welcome superb. A free glass of Spanish Cava given on arrival with the menu. This is followed by a free taster dish of things like anchovies, whitebate, tempura prawns . Just such a good start to the dining experience. It is a family owned and run business and it shows. The owner is customer facing but does not speak much English and its only when the neices & nephews are serving that all is understood. Having said that it makes it more authentic and you know you are not in simply a tourist restaurant which is borne out by the clientelle. This is a very modern and smart establishment and its whole presentation oozes quality. The seafood is to die for but beware some of the starters and main courses are hugh. My advice is to consider sharing dishes which seems to be quite common in this place especially with some of the starter salad dishes and the seafood platters. The Rape Romescu at 20 euros would feed at least two as does the Zarzuela pescado mari at 19 Euros. The normal Hake dishes around 13 Euros are okay for one. Good wines are on offer for around 12/15 Euros. We enjoyed our dinners here and will be definitely be returning next June. This is a must visit restaurant but book a table on Friday/Saturday nights.

Definitely worth trying, you are welcomed with a welcome drink of cava and then also the small fried fish which is Spanish speciality lovely treat. One of the owners showed us how to eat the bruschetta Catalan style!
Starters we had a salad and paella marinara highly recommended!
Mains we tried the grilled hake and the canelloni de carne
Both meals were taste and a treat! Will definitely be revisiting amar

ON an unusually rainy evening in Castelldefels it was time to visit the Amar, a restaurant we had passed by many times before. A nice modern entracne and room was met with a welcoming smile and a complinetary glass of Cava, both of whcih are always welcome and a good start to the evening. A good menu with a lot of fish but enough for none fishy people also. The fish soup was excellent, but large, the Turbot and also the filet steak were also superb. I did however like the look of the code baked in salt (only available for two ordering the same dish). A nice bottle of Spanish wine for €14 was also excellent. A niec small courtyard ar the rear looked nice also. I woudl thoroughly recommmend this little bright and modern restaurant for the excellent food, however the nice service really made the evening a treat...Give it a try. (total bill €71 for two..)

Arrived at 6pm on a Sunday.....terribel timing, right between luch service and preperation for night service.....the food was good, the wine average, the desserts superb....and the price.....in my opinion a bit overpriced.

Had Lobster in Rice......very tasty, but the lobster half was tiny.

However, I'll gladly try it again next time round
