A restful and beautiful place to land during a cycling tour of the Camino de Santiago. The attention to small details, music haunting the halls with monks chanting, perfectly manicured lawns and well maintained sculptures all made this an other worldly oasis after 100kms of dry, dusty plains along the way to Carriòn de los Condes. The restaurant was classic and consistent, the food was excellent and one of the best meals we had in 13 days on the Camino. I cannot wait to return, hopefully next time for longer.

Room tip: Excellent parking for bikes, safe and undercover.

Stayed in the hotel with three friends when doing the Camino, beautiful hotel, really peaceful. Amazing grounds, staff were very nice. The bar/restaurant area was lovely. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

We stayed for three nights in this truly historic place and really enjoyed exploring the building and grounds. We ate in the restaurant on evening but found the hotel very peaceful and relaxing with good, attentive service.

The renovation work has been carried out to a very high standard.

Room tip: Rooms are situated off long corridors looking out or into the quad

The grounds around the monastery are lovely. The music playing in reception is soothing and evokes the past. The cloisters are a haven of tranquility and the bedrooms were nice. We enjoyed our stay in Real Monastery San Zoilo.

I stayed for one night as walking on the Camino Frances.
This was one of my favourite hotels on Camino Frances route. Lovely setting, walking distance to town. Only issue for a walker was dinner at 8:30pm, exhausted so took the bar menu option was a bit limited. Suggest eat in town as plenty of places to go.
The room was peaceful, spacious and luxurious and had air conditioning!! WiFi worked well, nice towels, lovely bathroom. There is a lift.
Great breakfast with a wide variety of choice.
I wish I could have stayed longer!
