Highly recommended! Fantastic views across the island. Incredible Manrique influences everywhere. the apartments are very unusual. We stayed in La Cueva which means the cave. Above the kitchen units there is a huge piece of Lava Stone with a garden recessed into it so that you look over this garden when you do the washing up! Famara is close and it is very central for exploring the Island.

Like it!

Room Tip: La Cueva for couples, El Cactus for families,or take both if you have two families ir a large group. It could just be one great mega villa!

The Taro de Chimida finca must be the most impressive house on the Island. We stayed in April. The weather was perfect. Teguise is in the mountains at the edge of the Famara Riscos. From the
Property we walked along the edge of the Riscos with stunning views over Caleta De Famara and Soo that I will never forget. The romantic apartments have lots of interesting history. They are made from unearthed water storage tanks which seved to store water for the farm/vineyard in days gone by. The grandeour of the old finca reminds you of the history and importance of the property.
Guillermo and Lilly were perfect hosts and I the evenings we were able to walk into the ancient and Historic town of Teguise where we dined at La Cantina and Ikarus, and browsed the palaces convents and museums that the town has to offer. It is a peaceful escape to a bye gone age, steeped in history, religion, tradition art and beauty.
The Style of the apartment (La Cueva) is stunning. Fabulous and unusual with the influence of Cesar Manrique. Our apartment was like a stone grotto set in a sunken location that sheltered the pool, fron the Trade Winds creating a tranquil oasis of calm.
We are both surfers and spent the week discovering Famara, (San Juan) La Santa
And when the wind changed direction we headed for Arrieta on the east coast. Either way it is only ten minutes from Teguise, which is such an interesting place to stay.
It is so quiet in the week, you feel like you have the place to yourself. Then comes Sunday!
Teguise transforms into the biggest market you have ever seen. It literally fills up every cobbled street and alley way in the town. Music, crafts , local wine, vegetables grown locally, art music street performers, people playing guitar sitting half in half out of a first floor window!
Shops open up that are closed all week, every bar is packed with customers and music, ang later the local surfers keep the party going in a few places until the early hours.
We loved it here. It s a deepy cultural town which is reflected in the styles of the Finca, with it's crucifixes and wind mobile overlooking stunning views across the mountains to the sea.

We stayed at Taro de Chimida in August. The whole place is beautiful. When you drive in through the gates you are greeted by a wonderful Manrique wind mobile. Elegant Canarian design influenced by Cesar Manrique. Heated pool, wonderful works of art and decor and a fantastic location near to Famara for Surfing, Haria for walking, For biking it is paradise. Also Teguise is the most beautiful town in the canaries with many restaurants tapas bars, art galleries Museums, Churches Convents and Palaces all within an easy walk from the estate. if you want to enjoy the real Lanzarote without being in a remote place, You should come straight here.
