Lovely walk well worth the views :)
Take some water you will need a refreshment on a hot day. If you come by car best place to park is the residential area at the foot of the mountain

The location of Montana Roja is no secret, the peak dominates the skyline of Playa. Blanca, finding the path is another matter, there are some signs yea but far from a full set and once you get there, nowhere to leave the car other than on the street.

The walk itself is not too strenuous or long though the initial ascent is a little steep and across rough loose terrain.

The views from atop are as you would expect panoramic, spoiled only by the part complete sprawl of Playa Blanca.

It is worth a wander but don't plan your day around it.
