This is an attractive marina area looking out onto many boats moored in the marina itself. There are bars and cafes and several shops from a small supermarket to handmade jewellery. A good area to wander round and enjoy what is usually bright sunshine and sparkling water!

We did the escorted tour with the Thompson rep on market day, if you like souvenier markets this is the place for you, we also went back on a normal day, it is totaly different, plenty of nice bars, some upper market shopping, clean, tidy, several public convieniences, and some nice viws overlooking the harbour

Marina Rubicon was very close to the hotel where we stayed and we wandered around the area several times during our week long visit. Lots of casual clothes shops, bars, restaurants and cafes - many of which we just had to visit. A lovely clean district with views of the boats and boating activities, somewhere you can while away several hours. There is a market here on Wednesday and Saturday mostly selling craft type items, not food stuffs. Again, well worth a stroll around.

Just returned from four weeks at a self-catering villa near to the ferry at Playa Blanca. Thought the area was lovely. Marina was approximately 30 minutes stroll from where we were staying and was worth it particularly on market days - Wednesdays and Saturdays! An unusual market in that it had mostly craft items which were very reasonably priced. The paella at the waterfront on market days was fantastic and only 7 euros - but get there early as it sells out!
