Lovely week at this complex, well maintained, clean and grounds immaculate.
Staff very helpful and attentive. Ate at Ruby's bar a couple of times and the food was very good. The villa had all the mod cons.

Very good accommodation set in beautiful grounds serviced by very friendly and attentive staff. You are made to feel most welcome.
Nothing is too much trouble. The on site restaurant serves good value for money food. The fish and chips are excellent.

Room Tip: Go for the "B" numbered villas as they get the best of the sun.

I Re-iterate everything everybody else has said about these first class villas, they are the best we have ever had on Lanzarote, covering many visits. There are a couple of negatives though. You can only check in from 4.00pm and have to check out by 10.00am, this seems a bit unreasonable to me. The other problem is the location of the Complex as it is quite a long way to the Restaurants and shops of Playa Blanca. Although we found a short cut on a rough path to the centre this was unsuitable in the dark especially after a few drinks.
We did not have sea views from our villa which was not a problem, so I think it is hit and miss as to the views you get.
Overall we will return to this complex as the standard is very high.

We visited this resort in 2012 as a couple and went in December as a foursome of 4 adults. This year was just as enjoyable and the staff – reception, cleaners, groundstaff, maintenance and Ruby’s Restaurant are all pleasant and helpful.

We would totally agree with TrulyDorset’s review a couple of weeks ago although, as Diamond members we do receive free wifi. However, TrulyDorset was able to book a three bedroomed villa. We went on the Diamond booking website on our return to the UK and found there were none of the larger villas available to members for most of 2014! We are now aware that we can only book these villas at short notice, if they have not been booked through other holiday agencies.

We take a free UK newspaper as part of our membership. Normally we would never think of buying a copy of what always seems to be doom and gloom and would much rather have an apartment safe at no cost. We’ve always thought that having to pay for the use of a safe is not up to Diamond’s usually high standard of provision.

None of this detracts from the comfort provided at Jardines del Sol and the resort remains one of our favourite Diamond places.

Room Tip: 'B' villas usually have afternoon sun

We stayed here as a family of four, our two girls are aged ten and eight, in Nov 2013 for two weeks in a two bedroomed apartment.
I agree with all the complimentary reviews here, the resort is lovely, the rooms are well equipped and spacious.....I could go on and on....and probably would had our trip not been marred considerably by a theft from our apartment.
We were enjoying a relaxing stay and were four days away from returning to the UK refreshed and perfectly happy with our holiday, when getting ready to go out for the evening we started to notice several of our belongings were missing.
When we returned to our room initially, around 3pm, after the house keeping had been in, to be honest I was a bit perplexed as a lot of our things had been moved to really random places. I mean, I know the cleaners move things to clean around them but never before have I had a cleaner move things to a different room, or shove your belongings to the back of the wardrobe or stuff things in drawers that were on top! It was like someone had really been rooting through our things, but apart from being confused and taking ages to find our stuff, we kind of laughed it off. But then we started to notice things were missing. My daughter couldn't find her earphones, my husband couldn't find his either and his pen knife was missing, then as I was putting my make up on I went to get the glue for my false lashes, of which I had taken three pots with me, and they were ALL gone!! These lashes and glue were both in my bedside table in the drawer and there is no way they had been mislaid. HOW RANDOM though, we were just so amazed that such stupid little things had gone and there wasn't really any point in reporting it but it was horrible knowing someone had been going through our things and stealing from us. But then I saw that my gold and diamond necklace was missing, I was absolutely gutted, partly because I knew now we were going to have to report the theft and spend our last few days trying to sort it out, but also because of the value of the necklace which was a present from my husband.
I won't go through everything that happened as it would take up about two pages but initially after we reported it to Juan on reception we were left waiting ages to then be told the manager was off and wouldn't be in till Monday, it was Saturday evening.
We were then made to feel like criminals ourselves as we were told there was no way it could have been the cleaner as she had been with them for ten years!! SO WHAT!!! No one else had been in our apartment and we sure as hell weren't lying so she HAD to have taken the things, I was even more certain because of what she had done moving things around to confuse us and also in the drawer with the necklace that she took was another necklace which was bigger and worth more money! Also if it was an opportunist thief who had somehow magically got into the gated resort and through our locked doors or windows, there was my daughters Ipad, and camera left in full view on her bed which were left untouched!
I have never been made to feel so guilty in all my life. This has never happened to us before and we were devastated, our girls were also very upset and didn't quite understand what was going on.
When we eventually got to see the resort manager, Jeanette, on the Monday she really wasn't much help at all, reiterating that the cleaner had been with them a long time and nothing like this had ever happened before....well guess what...it was all new to us too, and we'd paid a lot of money for our only annual holiday!
I must say though, Maria on reception was wonderful, after initially having her doubts like Juan and Jeanette, after visiting us in our apartment and actually listening to us she was very understanding and couldn't have been more helpful, not that she had much sway in the situation but did all she could. She was the one to accompany us to the police station to be our translator and was lovely the whole time, she most definitely is a great asset to the resort.
After returning home and getting in contact with Diamond Resorts head office regarding the theft they assumed no responsibility for it and offered nothing in relation to any compensation for our unfortunate situation, not even an apology! So all in all yes the resort is lovely but just hope you're not unfortunate enough to have your belongings stolen because you will be made to feel like the one in the wrong!! Rubbish customer service.

It was with mixed feelings that we read your comments and although we were glad that you were satisfied with the standard of your accommodation, we regret that you were disappointed with how the alleged security breach in your apartment was handled.
As you know we have liaised directly on this matter and we were making attempts to discuss this with yourselves and were advised that it was not necessary. We would like to reiterate our apologies with regards to this incident and although we appreciate that this may not be of much relevance to you, we have never had such a complaint regarding the team member in question and they indeed have been with us for many years. Nevertheless, if and when such a situation is reported to us we always recommend that guests file a police report which we would help them with.
We are very sorry for any disappointment you may have experienced. We wish you all the best on your future travels.

Just returned from a week's stay and found everything to be marvellous. We travelled with our friends so there were two couples staying in a three bedroom, three bathroom villa and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The villa was spotless and modern, with a large kitchen and dining area, large lounge with doors opening onto a very large terrace with table and chairs. There were also four sun beds with comfy cushions and two parasols so perfect if you wanted to be private and not sit around one of the three pools. There were always plenty of sun beds there too but as it was quite windy we never ventured into the pools. We ate breakfast most mornings at the onsite restaurant/bar, Ruby's, as well as dinner on two nights, which was excellent. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, as in fact were all the other staff we met. The weather had been terrible right up until the day we arrived but while we were there, the sun shone practically every day although it was still very windy. We went most nights to Playa Blanca as there was a very good selection of restaurants there. We ate either Spanish, Mexican or Chinese and all were very good with lots of free after dinner drinks handed out! We did walk there twice but it was quite a long walk, along a main road, taking about 25 minutes so we used the taxis which were readily available. Fare was around 3 Euros so pretty reasonable.A little negative thought is that while one of the bedrooms was huge and ensuite with a wet room, the other two were comparitively much smaller although still perfectly adequate. It would be great if the owners realised that sometimes it is two couples staying rather than a family so two large ensuite bedrooms might be a good idea. Another little negative is the lack of free wifi in the villas but I had read the owner's explanation of the charge so perhaps that it something they are considering changing in the future. However, I would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return.
