Having just come back, can say a lot of rubbish spoken about this aparthotel. Having booked in December last year, have looked at site and read a varied cross section of opinion a lot being dismissive of certain areas in particular the food. Got to a point of trepidation of what my wife and I would be walking into. I can assure anyone that you are not going to have food poisoning, you are not going to have little choice, you are not going to have poorly cooked food. You are going to get a very good 3 star aparthotel with some exceptional extras to that billing. If you want 5 star you pay for 5 star, do not think 5 star comes at 3 star prices anywhere in the world.

Room Tip: Try to obtain a top floor apartment over reception or top floor facing the road, either way sun from...

Stayed here early March one week all inclusive. Good location and staff were always pleasant during our stay. Entertainment poor but the team did try their very best. We were worried about the food before going but there was always something that we enoyed. Reception were very helpful and the hotel and the grounds were kept very clean and laid out well. Generous drink measures in the bar downstairs and good service.

Stayed here for a week with my husband, 1year old daughter, in laws and my dad until 14th march. Upon arrival they asked if we wanted a two bed apartment and a one bedroom although we had booked 3 one bedroom. We said we wanted to keep our original booking but we ended up having a two bed apartment anyway, it was fantastic.
Pools were quiet, didn't try the food as we were there to purchase a property.
During our stay we had a death at home and needed to get my dad home asap, the hotel allowed us to print out boarding passes for free so we weren't charged at home, they organised the rental of a high chair for us and were very polite and helpful.
The two cats that belong to the hote are lovely and very grateful for ham. Free car parking as well even though some websites say that they charge for it.

Had a great hotel and if we hadn't just bought a property we would certainly go back.

I have just returned from a week AI with my wife and 4 year old daughter. As mentioned in many other previous reviews the hotel is quiet and is in a good location within 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and main town area. Cost us 3 euros for a return trip from town one night when daughter was "too tired to walk".

The food on AI is very repetitive and we ate out on 2 nights and had good meals at restaurants on beach front.

Entertainment is very poor and not geared towards children at all in my opinion. As mentioned previously all entertainment is done by Polish staff and they are not really interested in anyone other than same nationality - very arrogant and unfriendly. If you want a drink either at pool bar during the day or in the bar at night be prepared for a wait if you cannot speak Polish as they do look after their own first. Announcements around the pool area are done firstly in Polish and then repeated in very poor English.

Hotel is kept very clean with our room cleaned 3 times in the 7 days we were there. Pool areas are also kept very clean with lots of sunbeds available but may be a bit tight in high season.

Overall we had a good holiday for a good price with easyjet holidays at this time of year but do not think would return during high season.

arrived at this hotel on the 1st of march for one week all inclusive , picked this hotel purely for the price and location. arrived at lunch time and our room was ready for us . we had an upstairs appartment facing the road , the balcony and appartment was clean tidy and well equipped , and our towels were not too bad , our balcony had the sun all day long .
the pool area was lovely , clean and tidy and also had the sun all day long all over. there was plenty of sunbeds and seatting at all times of the day , and never sunbeds reserved .
we used the indoor pool , jaccuzzi and sauna , the pool warm and the jacuzzi like a hot bath!
the food was not the best , but also not as bad as some reviews , the choice was minimal , but we coped and did not starve , we aslo had a couple of meals out , one was a chinese at the jumbo and one at the volcan de timinfaya , both along the front near each other , both very good !
the hotel staff were all friendly , helpful and hard working , it sometimes took a little while to get a drink as the bar staff were doing more than one job at a time and were always running back and forth.
the walk to the beach , port and marina was easy and pleasant , it was all very nice , clean and tidy and lots of shops and restaurants .
we had a good holiday here and will be retuning later on in the year .

Room Tip: a ground floor pool facing terrace is good if you watching kids or need quick route to the pool bar!

This was our third time staying all inclusive at the Cay Beach Sun. We were very well treated from the moment we entered reception to when we left 2 weeks later. All the facilities are clean and tidy. There is an extra charge If you choose to use the safe in your bedroom, to use the air conditioning, satellite TV or to have access to wi-fi if you prefer not to use one of the 2 pay-to-use PCs in reception. We used the indoor facilities (for 18 years old and over) which include an indoor heated swimming pool with walk-in steps and handrail. There is a lift in reception which will take you down to the restaurant if using stairs is a problem. There is also a new (soon to be operational) lift down to the indoor heated swimming pool so check to see if that lift is in use. There is also a hot tub, sauna and gym available if you are all inclusive but told by someone self-catering that if you're not all inclusive they had to pay to use the sauna. The bath with shower had a good supply of hot water. All studio flats are kitted out with a bed/settee, dining table & chairs and a kitchenette with dinnerware, cups and glasses, electric hob, juicer, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, whistling kettle and cooking utensils. When the buffet-style restaurant wasn't open, we could go to the pool bar where we would have soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and a range of food from the bar menu. Each studio flat has a patio with table, chairs, and a fold-up clothes airer. We are vegetarian and there was always an excellent choice of hot and cold food for us to choose from. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to the beach where there is a walkway to the Marina, with plenty of shops as well as a street market every Wednesday and Saturday. The small on-site supermarket is well stocked and reasonably priced. There is a taxi rank at the Marina and it cost us 2 euros 70 cents making it cheaper for us to take a taxi rather than the 2 of us using the bus service to get back. There is always someone at reception 24 hours a day and they were always extremely helpful and understanding. We look forward to returning the end of November.

Room Tip: The sunniest place seems to be above or to the side of reception overlooking the outdoor pool.

Excellent accommodation, went self catering for a 2 week winter break. Very clean & tidy everywhere & well maintained. Comfy beds & pillows. Kitchenette fully stocked with pots & pans etc. Great pool areas with lots of sunbeds & parasols. Apartment cleaned every day except Thurs & Sun. Satellite TV for 2 euros a day - worth it!. Towels & sheets changed regularly. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Shop stocked most items necessary for our stay. Entertainment a little cheesy. Great for families. Great location, 10 mins to town centre & shops. Papagayo centre 10 mins walk with great selection of sports bars, restaurants, shops & excellent English Fish & Chip Shop with real english king edward chips! Good selection of restaurants along sea front. Recommend Tipico Canario & Jumbo Chinese. We had room 602 which was ground floor, facing the road which had full sun from 12 noon to sunset. No.30 bus stop right outside takes you around Playa Blanca for less than 2 euros - recommended! Would stay again.

Room Tip: Room 602 ground floor facing road. Full sun 12 noon 'til sunset. Quieter than round the pool. Mo...
