I want to try and keep this review contructive as I just think my husband and I have now outgrown this type of all inclusive type holiday. We are a couple in our early forties and we stayed along with 2 16 year old lads. Initial check in was sadly not the most welcoming or helpful receptionist but we found all the others after that to be friendlier. The bungalows were very spacious and clean. Our beds had mattress toppers already on them so they were not too bad but not the most comfortable , but the lads did not have any toppers and they said they were very uncomfy and loud. Aircom was very outdated in both rooms and not that effective. Maid service was great. The hotel itself , the food we always found to be good , lots of choice, always something to eat which was hot, tasty and cooked well. Obviously a very busy time of year so queues could be ridiculous , we queued one evening for 30 minutes. The Management did not help themselves as I saw and over heard them challenge people who took food out onto the seating just out of the restaurant as there were no tables left inside and there was no where else left to eat. The bar was sadly the biggest let down. There was only the main bar man who knew how to do cocktails and what drinks you could/could not have on all inclusive. My husband likes black russian and the only time he could ever have this was if this head barman was on, none of of the others knew how to do it or said he could not have it. You were sent to pour your own beer and wine from just outside the restaurant which frequently ran out and you then had to keep re joining the queue at the bar to tell them. DO NOT HAVE WINE from behind the bar ! This is put in a jar in the fridge and the smell hits you before you even try and drink it with the taste awful ! The entertainment for young families was exceptional and i would highly recommend this hotel to young families. As a couple we got bored of an evening sometimes and with staying for 11 nights the same entertainment was on the following week. The caribbean night is exceptional with drummers, singers , flame throwers and cocktails. It was also a shame that few people got dressed up of an evening for their meal. Many in jeans, hoodies and vests and looked like they were going to a Theme Park or the Market for the day. Very hard working animation team a credit to the hotel !!! Playa Blanca itself very nice , we ate out a few nights and was lovely. Most people had made the effort to dress up in town which was nice to see :) Would highly recommend Jumbo Chinese Restaurant. Rubicon Marina a must to go and see, very lovely and we would love to return there to stay next time

Stayed as a family of four last October. Tired accommodation but we had a nice quiet room up the very back of the property. Was fairly clean with polite staff. Food was varied and fantastic with the town nearby only 4euros by taxi so we ate out a few nights. Warm weather but some days were overcast. Reception gave good information on trips which was nice. The evening entertainment was pants but would be good for young children. Animation team were fantastic especially Charlie. Water polo and water aerobics were great

We traveled to this hotel with Jet2 holidays Myself,Partner,12yr old, 8yr old and 9 month old baby, we arrived at 9.15pm and was rushed straight through being informed dinner finished at 9.30! The older lady on reception very RUDE! We found our accommodation which was huge but very tired looking, maids were great but came very early even entering the room at 830am and waking us all ( who's up at 830 on holiday) pools were freezing I went in twice in our whole stay my 8yr olds lips went blue! All Inc finished at 11pm and heaven forbid you should be a minute over! Snacks at pool bar left overs from breakfast and kids could only get icecream for 2hrs out the day, food was the same day in day out very very boring we ate out a few times, entertainment team made out holiday the kids absolutely loved them all they do a fab job and work very hard a big thanks to Bram, Italo,Sonia and especially Marieke who my little boy adored we had tears of them both for having to leave such a great team! Also Jaun who works in the bar defiantly one of the nicest/funniest people we've met and that hot! tired! club room needs someone like that, we had a nice holiday and met some great people but we wouldn't return

Just returned from an all inclusive, JET2 holiday with 12 friends, mixed ages from 7 - 49, flew from Blackpool. we found it to be a lovely place to stay, it was very quiet pool side but that was perfect as we had young children and we knew if there was anyone in the pool they probably belonged to us! There was lots of spanish people staying there, they were rather rude people, but the hotel staff worked really hard and were always happy to help if needed. There were activities for the children each day, kids clubs, pool games and a park. The food was a bit 'samey' but everyone ate well that week. The complex is about a 10/15 min walk to the town althogh you can get a taxi for around 3euro. The beach front was a nice walk, not much to do though. The water park at the sister hotel was great for small children but the teens had few slides to enjoy. The food facilities at the Princess hotel were good, we had a chinese meal there and altho it wasnt 'overly' chinese it was tasty. The cleaning staff did a great job daily and left lots of crisp white towels. The weather was very windy but given it was 34degrees it was a blessing! the only negative i could think of is that the evening entertainment could of been a better quality and there were tiny ants in the living room and bathroom, but all in all it was well worth the trip.

Room Tip: ask for matress toppers in reception if needed
