my husband and I stayed for a week in late feb. We knew there was some construction work going on but didn't think our bungalow would be so close to it! saying that when we went to the pool area you couldn't hear it and the beach is only a few minute walk away. We did get a good deal just paying 420euros all inclusive for both so didn't mind so much but would have been very disappointed if we had paid top price like other couples had.. The bungalows are a bit dated but we could see they were refurbishing them ( bungalow next door was being done, which was more noise! ) . The restaurant and bar staff were really nice and friendly. The entertainment wasn't great and it only lasted about 40 minutes each night, we reckoned it was because they wanted people to go to bed early so as not to avail too much of the all inc drinks! also beds were quite hard.... I have been to playa blanca many times but would not go back to this hotel even when their water park is completed... if you can afford a little bit more go to the lanzarote Princess, it's fab........

Myself and my wife looked forward to returning to Lanzarote and seeing a different area of the island. We arrived at Lanzasur Club, Playa Blanca on the 2 February. We were greeted by a Construction Site. On any website that we viewed advertising the Lanzasur Club there was no mention, or indication that there was construction being carried out. Our agent said that because this construction had not been disclosed prior to booking, and was not necessary or routine, the Lanzasur Club will be liable to pay for further costs incurred by us due to having to move, no one in their right mind could tolerate this situation and expense.

Firstly, the main swimming pool was under renovation, and surrounded by temporary fencing. Constant drilling, hammering, grinding steel, if you want relaxation, peace and quite, then this is not for you. There is no let up all day, and there is nowhere to hide or escape from the noise.
Secondly, there is a new water park which is on the same land as Lanzasur Club, and belongs to the Lanzasur Club. This we were told will be going on until May 2012. We asked about the noise and if it was going to be an ongoing thing. The receptionist told us he does not know why they are working today, that they only do maybe one or two hours work a day on the waterpark. Wrong, major construction site, noise, dust, and loud.

Furthermore, I overheard several guests complaining that there had been no internet connection for several days, for which they had paid for. They said that the connection was very slow if it did work at all. The receptionist's attitude was not helpful. I get the impression that the level of staff training as regards Customer Service is non-existent. Also, the weather was dry but not as hot as expected this time of year in Canary Islands, this is due to present weather conditions all over Europe.

Be careful, contact your tour operator and change to another hotel if you want to enjoy your break.

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday to this resort. We had a very relaxing holiday. Although dated Lanzasur Club was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bungalows were cleaned regularly and new towels each time. The beds were nice and firm which is what we prefer. We were in the furthest corner of the complex and had been there 3 days before we knew there was a gate at the side which made it easier to get out and over to the beach without having to walk all the way back to the reception area and along the road. Although you need to ask at reception for the keycode number.
There were a lot of Germans and you could count the brits on one hand. The food was plentyful although into the second week it was nice to go out to get something different (T-bone steak) and it was a quiet time of year so we didn't have to wait for tables to be set up and the staff were always fetching fresh trays of food out. I wouldn't like to be there during the busy seasons. There are some great resturants nearby and a lovely promanade that goes from the lighthouse to the new marina and beyond.
The entertainment was rubbish. The 'shows' began at 9pm and by 9.30pm they were over. Background music was playing. But we met some fantastic people and enjoyed chatting and drinking in their company. The daytime activities were boring and the 'entertainment' staff did nothing to encourage people to join in.
You get what you pay for.
We took the service bus to Puerta Del Carmen which costs 2.5 euros each , one way nd took approx 40 mins. There is 'fast' ferry which goes to FuertaVentura which takes 15 mins and costs 20 euros each.
We have been many times to Lanzerote but this was our first time to Playa Blanca. We would definatly go back.

Lovely location near a local beach. Some nice restaurants within walking distance but some stop serving food early for Spain (ie by 9pm) and seem to be catered for tourists. Understandable given the location.

Apartments were clean but service was slow at reception - ie took 2 days to get sun loungers for our terrace and a day to get 2 cups.

Towels and linen changed on adequate basis. Apartment was cleaned adequately but more attention could have been paid to "harder to reach" areas - like inside cupboards etc.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 weeks during September for a much needed relaxing break. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and couldn't complain about the food. If you expect five star luxury accommodation then it wouldn't be for you but if you're after a good standard three star hotel then this is perfect. As British tourist, the one thing I would say that may be a negative is that much of the entertainment is aimed at German people. However, there are really good pubs close by such as the Irish Anvil that do good entertainment for English speaking tourists.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely go back to Lanzasur whenever we needed a nice, relaxing and good value for money break.

The entrance to The Lanzasur Club is very nice. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The bungalows are compact but functional. You have a nice little patio area with two lounger's, a table and two chairs. The living room has a two seater couch that converts to a sofa bed, a coffee table, a long slim table against the wall with two chairs and a wall mounted TV, (you can pay a 20 Euro deposit for the remote control). There are only 2 English channels, BBC News and CNN News,(No. 16 & 17). The kitchenette is within the living room area. The bedroom has two single beds which are extremely hard but surprisingly comfortable. The towels and sheets are changed twice a week. We were all inclusive, as most people seemed to be. The food was fine for the most part but did get a bit boring. The breakfasts were mainly continental but the area at the back of the restaurant has the hot food. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. The pool area is lovely and well maintained. There's a gym and sauna that you can pay to use. We would go back to Lanzasur Club but we would stay for one week rather than two.
