“Great holiday with 2 babies”
Reviewed January 8, 2009

We stayed at the holiday village for 2 weeks at the end of Nov beg Dec 08. We had a fantastic time. I was worried about travelling with my 2 babies a 4 month old and a 20 month old. First Choice were brilliant and the hotel had everything we could have wanted for peace of mind.

My toddler was happy to eat food of the buffets and there was a never a meal that he wouldnt eat something. The rooms had all the facilities I needed for sterilising my babies bottles and there was more than enough room for 2 cots. The cots were waiting for us when we arrived in the room and the bedding for them was great.

We used the first choice creche which was brilliant, they gave my baby the care and attention he needed and I took my toddler to the stay and play sessions there each day. They could not have been more helpful to me and really helped to make my holiday stress free.

I would warn all parents tho take the pampers and formula that you need for the entire trip, buying branded baby products over there is extremely expensive and we couldnt buy SMA anywhere.

Overall fantastic place well done to all the staff and first choice reps who work hard I will definately be taking my children to another first choice holiday village.

Stayed at this hotel for two weeks in November, food was great, room was nice and had everything you need and there are so many things to do in the complex.

Other reviews have said its not for younger couples but we are 21 and 20 and we had a great time. Entertainment is very cheesy but it is for the kids. We were self catering for the first week but decided to go all inclusive for the second week as the hotel food was so good. With all inclusive you get one visit to the tapas and the pizza restaurant per week with no restrictions to what you can have off the menu. Beware the bar staff pour drinks half spirit half mixer, only some of the drinks are watered down.

Pools are extremely cold however this would be much more appriciated in the summer. Never had to get up early to get a sun lounger and the day time quiz and activities were worth a go.

The town centre is a nice 10 minute walk on the beach front, plenty of great restaurants and nice bars, not clubs! The beach is quite small but very clean.

The only problems we had with this hotel was the front door to our room wouldnt lock unless it was slammed, which obviously upset the neighboors. We reported this to the rude man on reception but nothing was done about it untill the third time we told them.

All in all the hotel was good, great for families and people looking to relax, cant see why everyone is complaining!

Happy with complex...ideal for children.Kids clubs if they want to join in.Entertainment staff full of energy all day.Apartment basic but spacious and very clean.Maid cleaned every day if you wanted them to.Food in chicken shack and pizza nice but would be bored of it by end of week.I would say self catering and all inclusive would work out same price. On site supermarket sooo small for size of complex.Found lanzarote very dear but then all Euro countries now are.We were prepared for cold temperatures as had researched before we went but it is such a shame the beautiful swimming pools were so cold.Children just love pools and no one could get in them.I believe they are like this all year round.Bought a wet suit for my 5 year old but still too much for him.Well worth back door gate key saves 15mins extra walk to resort. Can hire buggys for kids too.22 Euros for week.I say this complex is perfect for families but would only recommend to couples out of season when quiet like December.Couples shouldnt complain on here as I feel it is not a place for them.Ask your travel agent about suitablility BEFORE you book.Resort is nice, beaches nice just too cold to sit on them Very quiet in resort no one eating drinking out much.Never saw any one in BUrger King.English cheese sandwich 4 Euros.Trips by operator about £60 per adult on average. We all had flu so took it in turns to go out and about.A fantastic international doctors in Playa Blanca and pharmacy. All the Brits I saw had colds and flu.It ruined our holiday but at least we saw a bit of blue sky and temperatures about 16-20 degrees.Wind made it feel colder. Some determined people lay in bikinis but only for the brave. For us it was a one off ,been there, bought the t shirt.I would recommend to other families who dont mind cold pools and a walk to the beach/resort.Perfect place for keeping kids happy!

  • Liked — space ,clean, hot baths, and kids reps entertainment, very tidy grounds immaculate.
  • Disliked — Freezing swimming pools, miserable supermarket staff,no where to sit out of cold wind.

Just a very quick and very honest review.

We stayed in a villa behind sun tropical and sun island. We did not stay in the complesx but were allowed to use the facilities. Both hotels are very basic and facilities and bad. The gym is nothing more than a grubby room with a few weights and the complex itself is not very attractive.

We head a few people checking in and complaining instantly to the management because the rooms were only of 2 star standard.

Thought this review may be useful - we are fussy travellers though and woul be mortified if we spent 2 or 3 grannd on a holiday here.

The one good point about the place is that there are alot of kids, who I probaby think would enjoy it - however it was the adults who seemed to complain!!!

Had a good holiday. We booked as a selfcatering holiday. We had a really good time. The resturants on site was good but the seafront resturants were

The kids clubs were great, we went with our 2 year and 3 year olds, they had a fab time too.

The only problem we had was the workers trying to mend their tools just by our room, early hours of the morning, which was noisy and irritating.

Overall, if you are looking for a very good relaxing holiday, I think the holiday was worth what we paid for.
