I dont nomally write reviews
But thought if I put something down now the management might take note?
Anyway as said regarding other reviews firstly.
Beds are hard and you need to ask for another blanket.i have asked 3 times still not got them
The food is limited and your find is mostly lukewarm all the time. This needs looking into..see the happy barman at the snackbar he must be very unhappy in his job .he never really smiles and is so slow. Ask for a coffee or hot chocolate and if the machine works ur get double strong coffee and chocolate like water..this is a brief part of our stay.whether not been as good very windy and a cold wind but thats not the hotels fault. Come again not really to far out no bar s locally or shops even though there is a free bus during the day. Thomson entertainment tryed to hard and load ..hope the management will look into this brief review.

Fantastic is the only word to describe this resort. There is something for everyone, here old and young. The entertainment staff get you going from 10.30 am to 11.00 pm.
Everything starts with some poolside fun all the way to the shows the staff put on.
A special word of thanks to Fran, Marc,Sofia, Kimberly, Tracy, Ricky, Rainer,Marta and Sanne.
That was in no particular order. The bar men Alberto and Alberto.
Great Kids club on site.
I have booked for next year already I was so impressed.
This holiday location is a win win for Thomas Cook
Oh and the Rep's are top class

Room Tip: All the rooms are good but we did like 202

We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon. The receptionist explained that if we dropped our bags off in our room then go for lunch we would make it.
The food was average and sometimes repetitive but we always found something to eat. This included a 5 year old. We found out the cold way that only one of the pools were heated. The large pool was freezing took your Breath away. The heated pool was ok.
Room- average but cleaned 5 days out of the 7 we were there with clean towels on them days also. The maids and most of the staff were really friendly.
Entertainment team- Thomas Cook team when we arrived there was only 2 of them Terri and Ben (I think their names were). They swapped teams on the Sunday and we had 4 new staff. 3 of them were ignorant and only talked to certain families around the pool and also at night. You saw them around the hotel and they wouldn't even smile never mind say hello. There was a German entertainer he was really nice, friendly always said hello. His name was rhino( that's how he pronounced it).
Hotel entertainment team we only really had any contact with them 3 days left of the holiday when we found the children's club. They were great remembered my step sons name and when they saw him around hotel always said hello.
Dino park- the children's area was great. My step son loved it cos he could go on all the slides on his own. It was next to here where the kids club was. We never went on the big slides cos little lad wasn't interested in them. He was happy with the children's slides.

We caught the free bus to the beach and back the driver was a lovely lady. We realised 2 days after that we had lost the little lads cap but we couldn't say where. We were coming out of the onsite shop and the bus driver approached us and asked if we had lost a cap when we were on her bus. Cap was returned.

Shop assistant- a lot of comments on here saying how ignorant she was!!! We found her totally different. She always spoke and made a fuss of the little one. It was my birthday while we were out there. My step son wanted to buy me presents from the shop the lady went into the back and found wrapping paper and wrapped presents up and wouldn't accept no extra money for them. Her English wasn't great put she tried and the little one loved talking to her. Just as we were leaving to go to airport went in to get some water and she gave the little one a lolly pop and have him a kiss n cuddle. Another lovely lady.

Would I go back?- yes we would.

Just got back on the 19th DEC, food was good, plenty of choice and they really make an effort to welcome you! Room was fine! Kids loved the waterpark and entertainment, you would struggle to find a better holiday for the money! In fact, you won't! We want to go back........

I am just back from spending a week with my partner and 2 kids (13 & 9) all inclusive at Paradise Island, and I would say the hotel was very average I would say it should be rated as 2*+, the negatives things I found was that the hotel looks much nicer in the pictures than in reality, the water park at best is average not that you could use the chutes as the water was below zero, our rooms although kept clean by the maids but had a smell of raw sewage first thing in the morning, the sun loungers are very uncomfortable and the hotel expect you to pay for Mattresses to put on these. The food although not to my taste as pretty bland was plentiful and their was always something you could find to eat, on a more positive note my kids loved the food and always went back for seconds and they had fun in the 1 heated pool that is in the hotel, The drinks that they serve are also good the beer is cold and dose contain alcohol unlike a lot of other inclusive hotels and never really had any issues with long queues, The Thomas Cook entertainment team of Ricky, Kim, Tracy and Rainer were very good and kept the kids entertained during the day with games round the pool and made the evenings very enjoyable with the cash prize bingo and their shows, they also made an extra effort to interact with everyone after the shows I definitely enjoyed the evening in the hotel more than my time spent on the uncomfortable loungers round the freezing cold pool

we had a fantastic holiday , we were slightly worried when we saw the remarks regarding the food , we however found the food very good with theme evenings rangeing from chinese ,italian to inter continental. the staff were very helpful. the rooms were great , my only gripe was the beds they were too firm and not very comfortable for me. but others may like that. we will be going back next year it was lovely there. we hired a car which was very reasonable we then did the volcano trip , well worth a visit stunning views and very informative. we also visited the sunday market in tequise wonderful and make sure you barter bargains to be had. also rancho texas is not to be missed the birds of prey display is amazing!

Just back from this hotel and our experiences are as follows...

Accommodation - a bit dated but no worse than many others, our room was not made up for us but this was only because we changed our mind about the upper apartment and opted for the ground floor with having a toddler, safety first!
We bought some bleach and gave the place a clean ,we would do this almost regardless of what hotel we were staying in, suckers for hygiene!
The doors on our apartment did not lock easily though.

Room service- we often found ourselves chasing the maids or asking at reception to get new towels and sometimes bed sheets , but when cleaners came they were extremely thorough and have a difficult getting around all rooms.

Food- we found the choice to be good and most of the food tasted good, the dining areas were clean looking, Chinese and Italian nights break up the normal food nights, lots of deserts!!
There was something for everyone :)

Staff- exceptionally hard working and pleasant, especially dining, reception and bar staff.
The lifeguard is a big athletic lad and looks like he would have no problems in rescuing anyone of any size in distress, although he really should try to crack a smile now and then, don't know if he is trying to have that ' I'll be back' look , so serious!

Facilities - the onsite shop is very good, has almost everything , some say the lass who works there is cheeky, she was ok with us, maybe our faces fitted? ;) slightly pricey for some things but we expected that of a hotel shop which is there for convenience.

The Dino waterpark is amazing!! Our youngest two loved the place!, loads of slides big and small, so much to do along with the junior go-karts, sandy kids play area, soft kids play area, tennis courts , football court etc...

Three main pools, one of which is heated.

Location- the location is ok if you have the use of your legs, of not then the taxis are so cheap into playa blanca...around 3.50-4.00 €, it can be walked in around 25 mins or so.
We usually only tipped drivers who did not put extras on their meter for the sake of a child's buggy or children in general.

Weather- we arrived here on 28th November and had warm sunshine up until the last three days where the wind kicked in heavily, still not cold though, well not to me..
Gran Canaria was not quite so fortunate, neither was La Palma or Tenerife where the wind and rain was so bad that it closed one or two airports on these islands, many flights were at very least very delayed, they also had flooding but somehow Lanzarote escaped the torrential rain.

Cats-there are around four or five cats within the hotel, we fed them tuna and milk, three are kittens and although I'm not a cat lover , I found them to be very cute...
They never climbed upon outdoor dining tables, we never saw the leave any mess anywhere and they were friendly.

Spanish pensioners- there are heaps of them and most guests are Spanish from the mainland getting their government funded holiday! Half board I think, I would want one too for free!!

Most are fine but some ignorant and lacking manners, like skipping queues etc, they holiday on every island so there is no escaping them!..most are nice enough folk though and I'm sure I speak for only a small minority...thank goodness the hotel was not at full capacity, but the manager told us yesterday that next week 800 guests are expected!

I think it's best to go at the start of December and not right at Christmas ,where too many have the same idea.

Room Tip: Our room was 519, close to all amenities , sure there is a kids disco thing on until around eleven P...
