“Amazing holiday and entertainment!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013 via mobile

I must admit, the entertainment team here was the best I've seen in a long time and I would like to thank Ben, Stevie-Jo , Leanne, George, Claire and especially Lorna who still got involved and was so helpful even though she had a pot on! Me, my mam and my friend Olivia were very well looked after here by all members of the entertainment team! The activities during the day got everybody involved as well as the marvellous quizzes and shows that happened in the evening. I will miss the entertainment team so much as they were fantastic!!

The hotel had something for everybody and had a great atmosphere! I only stayed for a week but could definitely could have done 10 days or even 2 weeks.

Love from, Olivia x2 (aka Double Trouble)

Just returned from a fantastic 2 wks here as 2 families. Was always loads going on thanks to Stevie, Ben, dj hoppy(aka lorna), Leanne, George, Claire and fran. Food did get a bit repetitive but only at end of 2nd week plenty of choice for everyone so no one will starve.

The only downside I would say is the size of the evening entertainment area, not big enough to cater for amount of people there.

Also for any of u that had the pleasure of him I have to do a shout out to mario. IN THE POOL. What a fantastic guy

I went here for a honeymoon/family holiday. Our experience wasn't great.

Let’s start with the good points. Hotel appearance is nice looking, the customer service of the staff is good and how clean the rooms are is also. Now for the bad points. Upon arrival nothing was explained to us, e.g. entrainment, dinner times, key safes etc. The food was very poor. I have two very young children, unfortunately we had to buy food in for the kids as there was no food suitable for them. They were serving burgers that the meat was still red and the pizza's were still half frozen. Entertainment was not the best either as it was mainly Thomas Cook reps doing it. I would like to add if you weren't from England they did not pay you any attention. I witnessed Irish, German, Spanish, French and Scottish being ignored. I would never book any holidays through Thomas Cook ever again. Also the children's entertainment at night time consisted of kids screaming and saying their names into microphones. Don't worry for the adults there was Bingo, lol woopie!! Also their alcohol is watered down too.

Our second week was boring as it seemed to be like a scene out of Groundhog Day, the same thing over and over again. The hotel advertises free buses from the hotel to town centre but to be honest anytime we went to get on the buses they were always filled. They must pick up from other hotels too. It costs about 3.50 euro into town in a taxi.

To sum it up if you aren't from England and looking good entrainment don't go here. If you or your kids like to eat average food don't go here. If you are looking somewhere close to town, don't go here. If you are looking value for money don't go here.

If you have already booked here, there is a nice restaurant in the town centre called Restaurant Varadero. If we didn't have here I would have lost more than a half a stone.

Room Tip: I stayed in 404 which was right beside the so called "Entertainment" and the pool. Very n...

Arrived back after 11 night holiday on the 11th June. We are a family of four with kids aged 10 and 6 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the holiday. The hotel is spotless and the apartments spacious and very clean. The food was always plentiful and of good quality, even my fussy 10 year old son found things to eat! My other half loved the Chinese, the Mexican night was a hit for me.
What made our holiday were the animation teams. The Thomas Cook crew Ben, Leanne, Lorna and Stevie were fun and energetic every day, all day. They made the time fly each day there were a variety of activities to suit all ages. My kids loved Ben and he always had time for them no matter how busy he was. The HL team were also a great asset to the hotel, a special mention to George and Fran who entertained our son for the whole of the holiday and performed the best show of our holiday. Would recommend this hotel to any family travelling with kids, lots to do plus a fantastic waterpark to boot.

i have just came back from this hotel on the 11th of june and me and the wife thouroughly enjoyed it. we arrived late and the reception couldnt have been more helpful, check in took about two minutes. very helpful. the room was overlooking lobos and fuertaventura so we had the best view on the island. the room was nice with a sofa bed and two singles in the bedroom. the pool area was nice and clean and always had people sweeping up or treating the water so it stayed clean. the first dip in the pool was an eye opener as it was freezing but after a few seconds you got used to it and when its the height of the sun its a welcome relief. the pool bar was an enjoyable place to eat snacks and listen to the entertainment at night. the entertainment team was an hl team and a thomas cook team. the hl team were always happy and bouncy and organised events durin the day as well as putting on the best night show of the holiday. fran as michael jackson has to be seen. a big shout out to george aswell, a funny guy with loads of energy. the thomas cook team was what made the holiday more enjoyable. leanne, stevie and lorna were funny and always had time for a chat. ben was amazing around the pool with the kids and events and always had time for everyone no matter how busy he was. his seal impression is quality. he i a real gem and made our holiday a delight. i liked the way if you told any of the team your name they remembered it and often caught you in the resort on first name basis for a chat. a great addition to the hotel. ruth the rep was very helpfull and a nice girl to boot. the only downfall was the food, i can eat anything but my wife is fussy and she found it hard to eat everynight. a lot of choice but not always appealing. all in all the holiday was great and i would go again in the future. the carrots were great too ben.

Room Tip: a room in the 100s give you the best view and the quietest nighttime.

The hotel itself was pleasant and could do with some fresh ideas especially around meal times.
I hav to say tho the Thomas Cook entertainment team and the hotel entertainment team were excellent, they engaged with all the guests and nothing was ever to much trouble.

If you find this useful please say a big hello to Stevie jo, Lorna, Leanne and Ben the Totally Tops Thomas Cook entertainment team.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed to be much of a muchness, i would say that the poolside rooms can get a little...
