Stayed here 9th July returned 24th July. Had a great holiday, dont listen to all the moaners. Weather excellant. Food excellant for Adults, not so good for fussy children. Place very clean and employees especially Thomas cook entertainment team worked very hard and were great fun for adults and children, You did have to get up early for sunbeds, but hotel did start removing towels on beds if people put them out early and did not use them, which helped. Had a very fun and relaxing time. To me holidays are what you make them and although we are easy pleased would definately recommend this hotel and we had no complaints.

We stayed at this hotel from 5th July to 19th July, we booked this hotel as it was supposed to be a 3 star being upgraded to a 4 star with a new water park, mini golf, tennis court etc, only waterpark exists. On arrival at 11.30pm we were offered a cold buffet supper (disgusting), we also noticed that the bar was closed and completely empty, alarm bells starting ringing…..0ver 600 apartments and no one in site….

Next day our teenage children in the next room complained about infestation of ants, we also had them in our apartment. This was reported to reception but nothing done, we had to buy insecticides ourselves. Didn’t get clean towels for 6 days, very rude receptionist girl advised that hotel didn’t have enough towels for all the guests so basically the last 8 days we received 1 set of clean towels. Queues at reception complaining about towels (or lack of them) and rooms being broken into or no safe keys as not enough of them either, any request made your name was put on a ‘to do list’ and thrown in a drawer.

Food edible however total chaos in restaurant, not enough tables to cope with the guests, chinese buffet a joke. Massive queues for food, hot or cold.
No food or alcohol available at waterpark only soft drinks although reception staff advised at check-in we could use waterpark all day as AI was available. (joke)
Not enough variety of food between breakfast-lunch-dinner, unless you like cheese and ham sandwiches/toastie because that’s all that’s available in-between these times.

Entertainment – during day at pool was fine but evening entertainment for teenagers was non existent, 1 barman at lobby bar, queues for 20mins, pool bar closed at 6pm some nights and lobby bar not opened until 7pm, no atmosphere, lobby bar closed at 11pm as all inclusive ended, no choice to purchase your drinks after this time. Disco bar was a dungeon/sweat box. We spent every night down in the town either for drinks or a meal, taxi cost between 3 or 4 euros and food in restaurants excellent.

We have been to several all inclusive hotels over the years but this has to be the worst ever, even made a complaint for the 1st time to the tour operator whilst there and also wrote a letter of complaint to the manager (Lorenzo), still waiting to hear from him……must be on the ‘to do list’ in that drawer….

This hotel struggles to be 3 star never mind 4 star, rooms are tired and in need or repair, i.e. fixtures and fittings. Hotel doesn’t seem to be coping with the demand, not enough sun beds, towels, safe keys, staff etc.

Room Tip: to stand a chance of getting clean towels get rooms close to reception area as they never had a prob...

We stayed at the Paradise Island from 5th to the 12th of July. There are some really good things about this hotel and some not so good things.

The good things-
. Our apartment was lovely, really spacious and clean and we had a great sea view looking over to furteventura-ask for room 104!
.The pool area was great and there was a really good atmosphere during the day with the entertainment team providing lots of fun for adults and kids. My eight year old son liked the 'killer darts' and the water polo. We did find that after a few days there was an issue with sunbeds and we had to go to the beach one day because there were none left-this was about 9 oclock.
.Help youself drinks around the pool - good idea.
.The waterpark was brill. My son loved it and would have spent the whole holiday there if he could have. There was a big seperate area with slides and a play area for the younger ones and sunbeds around both parts for the adults to chill.

The not so good things-
.The food. As some people have said in previous reviews,I'm not a food snob at all but I really didn't think the food overall was that good in fact I'd say that the 42% rating in the brochure was about right or possibly even generous. My husband was a bit more generous and thought that it was ok but he's more of a meat fan than me.You need to bear in mind obviously that this is all down to personal tastes.
The breakfast was the best meal of the day, I tended to have scrambled egg, little sausages (proper ones!) and fresh cut bread. It was nice.
Lunchtimes you could either eat in the restaurant or by the pool where there would be burgers, chips, salad and sometimes pizza or meatballs. This was ok.
.Snacks in the afternoon were diy toasties and cake which was lovely.
Evenings were in the main restaurant and on some nights in the chinese. I personally thought the food in both was crap. The chinese consisted of prawn crackers, soup, one veggie dish, rice, noodles, one meat/fish dish and a few sauces. Hardly a 'buffet' and the meat/fish dish was poor so I ate noodles with curry sauce.
The main restaurant food was a lot of salad the variety lots but not that great,,some kind of paella, potatoes,a pasta dish and always meat/fish like turkey, duck, ribs and tuna steak. It sounds ok but the standard wasn't great and the chefs cutting/putting out the meat were so slow they could have done with a rocket up their backsides.
The food for the kids was non existent. The kids 'section' consisted of three dishes generally hake sticks, pasta or rice and little balls of breaded potato. My son was lucky and one night he had chicken drumsticks! Of course there were chips on offer and he liked the ice cream which was good because it was a big part of his meal.
.It was chaos in there at times and the queues were ridiculous.

.The entertainment/evening set up. You basically have the 'lobby bar' or rather 'reception bar' which had no atmosphere whatsoever or the 'disco bar' (really?). I'm glad to see that we weren't the only ones who called the so called disco bar the dungeon! We did go down to it a couple of nights and the entertainment team worked really hard and the seventies night was a good laugh but generally not our cup of tea. Me and my seventeen year old daughter were waiting for the disco at 11 oclock thinking great we can have a boogy when omg 11 o clock came and there was a mass exodus.I've never seen anything like it. Everyone literally got up and left because this is when the all inclusive ended. We were gutted but stayed and had our boogy! Very disappointing.
.The whole evening 'set up' was quite disappointing really and what would have made it much better was if the pool bar stayed open after 7 because there were plenty of places to sit and there was area where was a pool table and a idela place for the older kids to get together.
On that note This place is not ideal for teenagers. There was an effort made for the younger ones with the mini disco etc but what about the older ones, don't they deserve some attention?! There were a fair few teenagers there but they all seemed to stick with their families because there was no forum for them to get together and kids of this age can be a bit shy in trying to make friends. What a shame.

Overall we had a really nice time because of the weather, the waterpark and daytime by the pool was great but because of the food and lack of evening 'atmosphere' we wouldn't return. I think the hotel management are also being a bit hopeful in realising a 4 star plus.Personally even with the waterpark this hotel wont deserve anymore than a 3 star plus.

Room Tip: Room 104 and therefore presumably rooms 100 upwards to about 110 have sea views.rooms 320 ish down n...

We stayed at paradise island from 2 July to 16 July. Overall we had a great holiday as the focus of it was our three year old daughter.

POSITIVES
POOL
We spent most of our time at the small children's pool. This was more than fit for purpose and there were plenty of sun loungers around. The main pool was a great size and there were two smaller pools and the kids' pool area. The pool was a little cold but once you were in a little while you warmed up.

FOR THE KIDS
There was a choice of two children's clubs. The first being the hotel mini club with pleuin, Laura and Fleur. These girls were really enthusiastic and had a great rapport with the children. They made things with the children and had themes such as 'under the sea' and 'pirate party'. The activities took place in a newly built kids' club in the water park and there was a swing park and soft play area alongside it.

There was also a Thomas cook Kids club and the facilitators wore green. They took the children in specific age groups in a secure, club area. They also had a detailed timetable by this was changed on several occasions with little notice and the three team members seemed a little disinterested. There seemed to be less engagement with the children and one appeared to be yawning each time you saw her!

The water park is great and the life guards are totally on the ball. There is a large children's area with a large bucket which soaks the children, a climbing frame area and five slides. The slides for the grown ups are all complete and working and a really nice way to spend an afternoon. There is supposed to be mini golf and go karts but on the whole the majority of the work is complete.

The mini disco took place each evening at 8:30 and Dino the dinosaur was a great hit with the children. The children were presented with their certificates and my daughter's are still being presented a week after our return.

ROOM
Our one bedroom apartment was very big with two balconies and the air conditioning worked well. We paid a deposit for our beach towels, control for the air conditioner and the safe. This money was then refunded at the end of the stay. There was a kettle and working fridge in our room but no microwave in our room

DRINK SELECTION
For being all inclusive the drink selection was good. This included cocktails, sangria and CAVA.

FOOD
We are not fussy eaters and my daughter ate well. The salad selection was great and the breakfast pancakes were lovely. The snack selection at lunch time included baked potatoes, burgers and meatballs and made a change from the restaurant setting. In the restaurant there was a lot of pork and perhaps plainer food should have been available for the children in the evening. The vegetables were over seasoned. The odd chicken nugget would have been a welcome addition!

ENTHUSATIC STAFF
The day time enertainment may not have been to everyone's taste but the enthusiasm of those presenting it can not be faulted. Lizzy, rob and Sophie eagerly danced, sang, organised the daily quiz and generally bopped about like lunatics!

The bar and restaurant staff also worked hard and tried there upmost to serve you as quick as possible!

COULD DO BETTER....
QUEUES
The queues are dinner during our second week needed reorganising. Everyone regardless of what they required, soup, salad, kids' meal or hot food joined the same queue. This was very long!!

DUNGEON
The evening enertainment took place in a dark, overcrowded dungeon! It was hot and sticky and we usually choose to leave after the mini disco as the queue for alcohol was long here too. The guy behind the bar worked his socks off but it can be difficult to watch your children, save your seat and queue for drinks.

The hotel is only 3* and the facilities are good. There needs to more staff to reduce the queuing. We booked here for the water park, the breeze, pool and mini club anand so unlike others rate it's success on our daughter's happIness. She had a blast and the cava wasn't too bad either!!!

Got back on the 16th of this month after looking on here at all the people moaning we were not looking forward to our holiday . Once arriving at the airport we were greated by a lovely friendly professional representative called lucia ( dont listen to deluded woman who bad mouthed her )
arrived at the hotel still nervous we got checked in very fast and went to our room which was beautriful clean and with a sea view.

The next morning we awoke and had a day by the pool with was fantastic , if you dont fancy going indoors for lunch there is chips , burgers , meatballs etc served outside by the pool . All the food was fantastic great selection changed every night and there was plenty of it .

Only gripe was an very rude reception lady called eva ayt who should be sent directly on a customer service course as she is letting down the rest of the team which are very helpful and friendly .

great holiday please dont feel as we did as you have nothing to worry about at this hotel and with your rep would definately go back
