Fantastic stay, pleasantly surprised to find a toddlers club that meant our two year old was very happy (and so were her parents!). Very clean, good food (not fantastic but good), staff helpful. Queues in evening poor at bar, but otherwise never had to wait for a drink. We plan to book again for the spring.

myself 21 and my boyfriend 24 booked via jet2.com 4 days prior to our holiday. we paid £444.00 each for 7 nights all inclusive.

the hotel has 3 floors, top floor doesnt really have a purpose, the 1st floor has reception and bar and the ground flooor has 2 restaurants.

the rooms are outside, all have 2 balconies and are well presnted and clean. our room was cleaned 5 days out of the 7.

the buffett restaurant was very bland. i lived on processed ham sandwiches for breakfast all week, as i didnt like anything else.

we ate our lunch out on most days as the food was not good at all. teh evening dinner was also pants but we did like the chinese restaurant which was open 3 nights out of the 7 we were there.

the bar staff were lovely and reception were really nice even though they did put us on the wrong bus one day and we ended up walking miles in the middle of no where???

the hotel was about a half hour walk away from the 1st beach. walking there was ok but its up hill coming back... my legs were pretty fit at the end of my holiday!

overall the holiday was good, weather was nice and we had lots of trips out. we did the camel rides, volcanoe tours, fuearterventura water park and a submarine ride. it was on the last day we got upset when a lady told us that she had booked from the same website and paid £200.00 each. we had been stung.

this is not somewhere i would go again, it seemed to be full of much older people (over 60)

never the less its another tick on the map.

I have just returned yesterday from this hotel. I holidayed with my husband an our two children aged 4 and 5.
I read the review on the internet before we went and was worried but thought lets go with an open mind. I'm so glad that I did. Our apartment was lovely, very very clean, well equiped and we had a great balcony were the children often played.
The whole complex was well kept, no sign of any rude spanish people, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bar staff were quick to serve you and there were no long queues at the bar.
The food was of a good standard, varied and hot. The breakfasts were very good with an assortment of food to suit every tatse. You do have to remember that you are in spain and generally the food is spanish but what else would you expect when you book a holiday abroad!!
I have to admit the childrens play area was a little bit tired and run down, but it looks like they are making a big effort with the rest of the hotel to refurbish it and hopefully with time they will get around to that too.
Yes this hotel was not 4 or 5 star, but then at the end of the day you are not paying 4 or 5 star prices you are paying for a 3 star hotel!. You only get what you pay for. You can't expect to book a cheap holiday for a few hundred quid and get a top notch resort!!
I would recommed it for a cheap winter break, but don't expect 5 star quality.

I have just returned from paradise island on 29 nov 07 and i carn't begin to tell how pleased we are to be home, i'd read the reviews just before i left and every single one is true, the food was disgusting and cold and the same thing every night, i complained and was told they knew about the problem and i wasn't the only one to complain. After that we ate out everynight. The rooms aren't much better we had patio glass doors that were cracked and sealed back up again with cellotape, sockets hanging off the walls or cellotaped up and live wires exposed.
The childrens play area a DEATH TRAP, We took are son to play in the play area but when we got there we found a breeze block wall had fallen and had just been left there so that was a no go area, so we went to the pool to relax or so we thought untill all the spanish came round and started shouting and being very rude.

I agree totally with Jacquib38 this was the worst holiday I have ever been on. It was a nightmare from start to finish and if you value yur children I sugest you donot risk their health by taking them to this place.
I went with my husband and five year old grandson. First impression wass that it looked nice the room was big and on a quick glance looked clean it is only when you look closer that the true horror is realised. The covers donot fit the cusions on the sofa beds they are stained the sheets they give you are clean but have holes in them our bathroom filled with raw sewage overflowing from the toilet onto the floor it filled the sink and the bath and the smell was awful. We asked to be moved but were told there were no other rooms we waited three hours for someone to sort the problem out then I had to go to the shop and buy bleach to clean the bathroom properly. Even then our grandson became very ill and had to be rushed for emergency treatment he was very ill for 7days of our holiday and was only just passed fit enough to come home.
The Spanish are very loud and very rude.
The food is awful it is repeated and reused over and over again.

I will try and be as honest as possible.

Hotel - The location is about a 20 minute walk from playa blanca, but the buses run throughout the day, and a taxi is only 2.50 euro's. The rooms were good sized, and cleaned 4 out of the 7 days we were there. I only had 1 cockroach in my room, and that was on the last day, and in a glass I had left on the floor.

You have to pay for the TV, safe and air con (air con is cheaper to pay for at the hotel 4.50 euros per night) so this is a bit of a con, but for us a requirement. Do not exchange travellers cheques at the hotel, we were charged 16% fee!!

Food - The food has been put together with a european audience in mind. I did find enough to eat most days (mainly salad and bread) but the childrens choice was very poor. Do not go all inclusive here if you are very fussy, or have very fussy children. We ate out the last 2 nights. The menu mainly consists of - Large salad selection - a hot pasta, a fish in sauce, a special meat or fish, a plain meat option (the veal tasted very similar to the liver though) chips and another potato option. plenty of bread. Then there was the chinese option, which was basically noodles / rice / vegi dish and a beef in sauce dish, very nice though.

Drinks - The lager has about 2.5% alcohol content, and the vodka is 25%. The soft drinks are fine. we had no problems getting served, even though there is only 1 person on each bar!!

Pool - The pool area is very nice, we had really hot weather when we were here, but even then, the pool was very cold. But it cooled us down. Would not have gone in had the weather been in the mid twenties.

Entertainment - okay, typical of a cheap hotel. some stuff for the kids to do. Nothing great though.

Playa blanca - a really nice place to go for the day, and eat at night. will defo come again

Overall, we had a great holiday, but I put most of that on the weather. My main advice if you do go here is take some money in case you do not like the food. Be open minded, at the end of the day, you are paying most of the money for the flight to lanzarote, the hotel is very cheap. I would stay here again, but not all inclusive.
