Description: Restaurant El Olivo enjoys a fantastic location next to Playa Dorada, a stylish terrace overlooking Fuerteventura by the promenade of Playa Blanca, ideal for both couples and families and groups (reservations accepted). Try our speciality in paellas, fresh fish or the most tasty steak in Playa Blanca. Friendly atmosphere and good value

The starters were already a bit of a disappointment but the main course was really terrible. It apparantly was a really old cod, it was chewy and tough. My husband had a few bites and I hardly touched mine. When a waiter finally came by, I told him in a friendly manner what was wrong with the food. He simply shrugged hid shoulders and took away our plates. Very rude! Felt like we were treated as stupid tourist who they could earn money on.

We dined at El Olivo as a large party with friends, including children aged between 7 and 14. This restaurant serves a decent variety of foods and has quite a nice children's menu. However, the service side of the restaurant really lets it down. We waited a long time on our Starters and Mains. There also seemed to be a problem with providing enough glasses for everyone at the table. It really was one of those nights where we were constantly having to ask for things that were being overlooked by the staff. Thankfully everyone was happy enough with the food they received and we managed to scrape a good night out of it in the end. I would not return here as there are so many other restaurants in Playa Blanca offering both good food and proper customer service. We actually had a fantastic meal out a few nights later in 'Tiramisu', just at the top of the main street in Playa Blanca, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys authentic and delicious Italian cuisine (need to book in advance during busy periods).

I reckon this is about the third incarnation of this restaurant....but we still ate here 3 times in a week.

Currently the BBQ on offer is huge, and comes with a bottle of wine. Pizzas are good too.

We also had seafood paella for two, and another day steaks. Truth be told I preferred it as New Orleans, but still return for friendly service and a view I could gaze at for hours.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Playa Blanca and ate at this fantastic restaurant at least 5 times. The steaks are delicious and excellent quality (as is the sole), wine well priced and the staff very helpful and friendly!
I don't know what John K and Paul C are talking about?? The place is wonderful, it's a pity the more populated ones on the town beach front don't serve the same standard of food as El Olivo.
Try this restaurant, it may not be as busy as the others in town but the food is far superior!
