“A great little villa in a great plot & location, well equipped, safe & very clean”

At the airport we were met by an agent of last minute transfers - organised for us in advance - we were immediately escorted in a very friendly manner to our mini bus and whisked off to Las Brisas! On arrival at the property, we located reception who were very efficient and gave us our keys & map of the villas. Pointing out villa123 for us to find easily ....
we found the villa picturesque and very private, with its own walled sun terrace, 3 loungers, a table & 4 chairs. Double door entrance high quality spanish build.

Open plan kitchen living area was bright and spacious, with dining table, sky tv and comfy seating area, leading to bathroom & well fitted large bedroom with ample wardrobes & a safe in the wall. Wifi free with code from reception...

The villa had air conditioning at an additional cost which was more than sufficient in the bedroom area where you would need it. The living area was well aired with the large double doors two windows and a ceiling fan, so air conditioning was not really necessary here. We mostly used the ceiling fans and occasionally switched the air conditioning on a little in the night as it was very powerful.

The kitchen had every single item you could ever want to cook with, even more than we have at home!! Well designed little layout with a good size fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. We found our way about very easily and on turning right out of the resort & crossing the road immediately found the Hyperdino super market - where we stocked up daily.
We bought ice pops and also made our own ice cream cones at the villa, the supermarket had a good selection of fresh produce drinks and basic groceries. The Las Brisas resort itself also has a great little mini shop with lots of essentials in it and also postcards, stamps and a post box.

The resort had a great swimming pool with a restaurant and good bar area right next to the pool. Plenty of loungers and people just went up to the life guard who would put them out with you. The life guards were very vigilant & tidied up for a good hour each evening ready for the next day. The pool was open 8am-8pm in August, and had two hours a day where inflatables could be used, aside of these two hours the pool was inflatable free and very pleasant to swim in due to this variance which was adhered to!

Las Brisas was totally walled and gated to which you had your own keys which made it feel more private and certainly the other holiday makers were all of a respectful, friendly nature, many of them villa owners themselves and clearly taking a great pride in Las Brisas. Always saying hello and asking if you're enjoying your holiday, but also not intruding on each other's privacy. The resort felt exclusive for this reason , some of the holiday makers had been visiting these villas for many years and it felt like a great little secret we were all best keeping to ourselves!

The beach was a five minute walk a straight line down from the super market took you right onto the promenade which stretched along from Marina Rubicon to well past where the catamarans docked on the other side. There were lots of little shops and restaurants in two neat rows lining the sea front.

The beaches were beautiful with turquoise & clear sea and soft gold sand, when the tide was out you could see the best of the area, only choppy when the tide came right in around 5pm it would sometimes spray over the prom a little just to remind you!!

We loved wandering along to the market on market days and sipping cocktails at the gorgeous marina... Which was a good walk...On other days we would go the other way to a little bar called Popeyes and sit high up in the breeze of their terrace and enjoy cracking service and the best large ice cold beer we ever found - 1 euro between 4-7 - what more can you ask? we couldn't believe more people had not cottoned on to it...! On our way home we often stopped for a home made Italian ice cream or a 1Euro slushi at the little yoghurteria badu bidu...

So, one last thing to add the icing on the cake...the reception team were just simply wonderful. Purely professional, efficient and attentive. On our last day they took care of flight confirmations, ensured our transfers were confirmed, that our luggage was stowed safely, and had allocated us times to use the shower/bathrooms before we left.

Thank you to Tessa for renting villa 123 to us, we had a wonderful stay and really felt relaxed and totally at home! We highly recommend.

“Great complex, great location”
Reviewed August 10, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have stayed at Las Brisas on a couple of occasions and each time have found it to be excellent. Friendly helpful staff, well maintained facilities and gardens, spacious well equipped clean bungalows. I would book at Las Brisas again without hesitation and would recommend it particularly for families with young children.

“Great resort- pity about the bed bugs”

Really enjoyed our stay here- resort has good facilities (heated pool), staff were helpful and the apartments were spacios and well equipped.

The only point for complaint were the bed bugs! As we had a young child sleeping in the bedroom we slept on the sofa bed in the living room. This was comfortable and suitable for ourneeds.

However we were bitten alive with bed bugs!!!

If this could be rectified all would be just perfect there.

Management Response
Jan 15, 2013
Thank you for your feedback but we have never had such reports at anytime before or since and all villas are routinely monitored and treated for pest control. We would love to welcome you back and put your mind at rest that this may have been an allergic reaction to something other than as suggested.
