“A pint of the black stuff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

Go up the stairs buy a pint of Guinness and take a window seat overlooking the bay and watch the ferries come in and the world go by, then the entertainment comes on and boom a great evening!

“We almost wrote this place off after not a very good lunch experience, but at night it comes alive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

We called here one lunch time as we fancied some good old British Egg, Chips & Beans with bread & butter, meal was ok, but we had to ask again for bread & butter, the butter was solid and tasteless, we decided to give it a miss in future. Then one night walking to get a taxi we heard the live music and decided to see what it was like, It was very busy, we sat in the back corner and started chatting to the couple next to us, then annother couple joined us, and we had a brilliant night, Lee 'Bones' Barber was playing and we were very impressed with his music, we kept shouting requests for 'old' songs, and he played most of them. The drinks were served quickly and with a smile. So instead of getting a taxi at 10.00, we got one at 12.45am!. I would just say if you are not happy with it during the day, give it a chance at night with the music, its a totally different place that comes alive!!! Would really have liked some good old 'Irish Music' played aswell though

“A good place for a drink and middle of the road entertaiment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

The Old Mill is centrally situated and always quite crowded. There is singer/guitarist every night who sings middle of the road music. The standard is slightly better than average. There is a vibrant atmosphere here and we enjoyed it. The music is a reasonable volume so you hear yourself speak. A large beer costs 3 Euros. Table or bar service.

“Great for entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

The Old Mill Irish Bar is centrally located. It has a live voccalist ever night and it has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. The staff are friendly and on the ball. This bar is ,in our opinion is the best of its type in Playa Blanca. Choose a night when Lee "Bones" Barber is appearing he really get the place going. Volume is reasonable and not deafening. The Entertainment starts at 9.30 and finishes at midnight.
