This was my first time here - I was accompanying a friend who has a time share. It's a great location from which to explore the area and further afield. Our villa was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. Staff at the resort are friendly and helpful although occasionally one needed to ask several members of reception the same question to be able to piece the answer together as each person seemed to have only parts of the answer! Reception staff will book attractions/visits/transfers for you which saves the hassle of dealing with eager sales people in the tourist areas. Don't be caught out by the mail boxes in reception - the one for international post cards is in the shop - obviously!! The pool was clean and surrounding area kept well - lifeguards are always on hand - one of whom had worked there for several years and was as helpful and friendly as could be. There is a contraption by the pool to help those less able to get into and out of the water and lifeguards were very happy to assist with this. Of particular note was the bar manager Pedro who made us feel very much at home and even gave us a guided dinghy tour of the coastline in his spare time - so kind. Residents have often been coming to this place for years so they all seemed to know each other - and still made me, a first timer, feel very welcome. Would have liked some local Spanish music/dance in the bar/club but gather that this is quite expensive to put on. We had fun though making idiots of ourselves dancing on a karaoke/disco night. A great holiday.

Room Tip: If you like an early night, I suggest you ask for a villa away from the road and bar/swimming pool a...

Resort as always is just perfect but have had to reduce on my rating this year because it was impossible to get WiFi in the villa (number 116) and other areas. I need WiFiwhen away to carry on my business and were advised to try the bar area but no luck, it did work in the reception area but no good if you need for work purposes. We had no problems last year but the reason this year appears to be the amount of teenages who are always on phones and Ipads.

Apart from that the resort remains perfect for a family holiday and again the fantastic life guards! One other small gripe is that surely a "gold crown" resort should have Bath Sheets in the villa and not the standard Bath towels.

We've been having brilliant family hols in Las Brisas for more years than I care to remember! However, I feel moved in the nicest possible way to state that the complex is in serious need of sprucing up! As much as we love it, it is blindingly obvious that it needs to be updated in many, many ways some more obvious than others. Take for instance the static umbrellas around the pool - they by their very nature are supposed to act as a sun-shade but the vast majority of them have amazing large gaping gaps / holes and this has been the situation for quite some years now. Strangely the sun-shades in the sister complex "next door" - Las Casitas - are perfect? The Bar area needs to be modernised and no mistake. And this year the usually excellent flowering plants looked sad and sorry for themselves. Overall we still LOVE Las Brisas and understand that the villas will be modernised in the near future. We only make these critical remarks in order to be constructively critical rather than out of any form of anger!! The Owners / Management surely must be aware of my stated observations together with many other updates to bring the complex kicking and screaming into 2013 / 2014 and beyond! PS Las Brisas MUST have the best lifeguard in human existence. Miguel is "Father", "Uncle", "Friend" to everyone - always has a smile and a friendly and funny word. The Reception Staff are EXCELLENT!

Room Tip: In no way would I want my review to put anyone off going to Las Brisas. Its just that I would hate t...

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Playa Blanca, look no further. This resort is perfectly situated - just a few minutes walk from the town centre and beach. You will enjoy plenty of space in the well equipped villa's, with your own patio and garden area. The shared pool is huge with plenty of room for all, and eagerly watched over by friendly lifeguards. On-site facilities include bar, restaurant and mini market. The site is very family friendly, safe and secure. Staff are wonderful. Can't wait to return!

Just back from our 4th visit here and as ever it was fantastic!! Our kids had a ball and made lots of new friends around the pool. Staff are superb and always cheerful and happy to help. Yes some of the villas are a bit dated however never had any issues with them not being clean.

One small gripe is the old towels on sunbed issue which does bug me a bit however to be fair extra beds were made available and the lifeguards always tried to make sure you didn't go without.

This is just a great family venue and the fact that so many people go back as often speaks volumes.

When you then add to that how nice Playa Blanca is as a resort then its hard to overlook and that is something for me to say as I like to see different places.

All in all I have never spoken to anyone in Las Brisas that has said they wouldn't return and again this tells a tale.

Looks like number 5 visit will be happening in 2014!!! Roll on!!!

The resort definitely has potential with a gorgeous pool and children's pool but the villa we stayed in (57) was very dated and was in desperate need of a revamp. We had tea towels with holes in and a disgusting sky light full of cobwebs and dead flies. There is no children's club that my two younger children love as it gives them a chance to meet other children. The staff were very polite and efficient but this resort was definitely no where near to an RCI Gold Crown Resort. We certainly won't be back!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your comments. Housekeeping have been notified of your issues and they will inspect the villa. Did you notify housekeeping during your stay? If you had done so then any complaints could have been rectified immediately. The resort is officially rated an RCI Gold Crown standard which is awarded by RCI via its members ratings. The rating is not something the resort award to themselves. The resort do not advertise a children's club because it is not a facility which is provided. This information is freely available in the RCI catalogue and on the resort webpage.

Just returned from our 13th visit to Las Brisas Great holiday, great company, great time,
cant wait for 2014. All staff that work at Las Brisas work hard, are friendly and can't do enough
for you. Playa blanca has good restaurants, good beaches and good location. Entertainment
could be better although quiz night with Chris is good.
