Lovely place, on the front looking out to sea over the bay. Food always of a very good standard, staff attentive. We always book a table, as it gets busy in an evening. This time went with friends, we all had steaks which were excellent, with good accompaniments, and superb house red wine. Can recommend this one, if you want a nice view book your table and enjoy.

Situated in the middle of the promenade between the harbour and the marina, Tipicio Canaria should be on everyone's must eat there list. Excellent selection of food - they cater for everyone, from babies to the more mature person.

Service is excellent, and although the restaurant gets busy in the evenings, there is no delay between courses.

We ate there on Hogmanay 2012 - the menu was fantastic, service excellent and the buzz was not to have been missed. Party hats, toot toots and champagne was the order of the day just before the bells - FANTASTIC - booking again for this year.

This restaurant is also first on our list when we arrive in Playa Blanca.

I did not like the food at this restaurant at all and ate only a very small portion of my meal. The location is great - on the boardwalk with a great view of the harbour area.

I had the roast suckling pig (which did not taste good at all) and my husband had the goat which he didn't really enjoy either. There are better restaurants on the strip.

Ate here 2 times, first time we had tapas which was quite good and tasty but pretty big portions for being called tapas. Second time we had Paella, very good with fresh seafood. Waiting for the Paella (23-30 min) we each had a drink which took forever to get and the waiters seemed very disorganized since between our drink order and up till we got it to our table 3 different waiters came over and asked if we wanted to order something to drink. Service was messy also on our first visit but the second was even worse. Desserts were also very good, home made chocolate mousse and tiramisu very delicious.

On the main promenade, this restaurant is okay, does what it says, is targeting the tourist, menu reflects this and does what it says well. Okay for lunch but wouldn't go for evening meal.
