“Relaxing holiday”

The hotel is large, modern, well kept and very clean. We had a see view room and could see the sunrise and sunset. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful - excellent service. Great food and fun entertainment! Large pools and v nice pool area.
The hotel was a 20 minute walk to a small beach. The beach was perfect for our 2 year old nephew and close to resturants and bars. The walk is on a coastal path so we enjoyed the walk. About 40 minute walk from the hotel to Playa Blanca, again on the coastal path - we enjoyed the walk or used a taxi to visit either Playa Blanca or the wonderful Marina. Round the corner from the hotel is a sports bar and a very nice loung bar over looking the sea.

Room Tip: ask for sea view - most rooms are and worth it

my wife and i have not long returned from natura palace and this was our third time,as for myself who has a complaint called coeliacs disease which means i am on a gluten free diet this hotel realy catered well for me,as the meus that was on offer is far superior to what i get at home everthing i could have was labelled gluten free and if that was not enough all the chefs i spoke to knew how important that was so i must give the resturant staff 100% for their service. anyway that is one very important item as for the hotel and staff one could not wish for a better holiday.they really do their utmost for your enjoyment i know the hotel is a fair distance from the centre but with a beautiful prom to walk along the sea front it is beautiful if you find it is too much there are excellent taxis at very reasonable fares also there is a local bus which runs every 12 mins from one end to the other and all for euro 30cents never mind were you get on and off i used the bus many times could not find one fault always on time ,the centre is a smashing place for gifts and sights and with a regular ferry service to fertuventura what more could you ask for as this hotel won the title of best hotel in the region for 2012 one can understand why but please dont take my word for this review go and check it out for yourself if you come away dissatisfied then i honestly dont know what you are looking for one last word enjoy,

We had a week stay in October 2012 on B&B basis and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast outstanding and the pool area great as well. Would definitely recommend the hotel and Playa Blanca as a whole

The hotel is situated about 3kms the other side of playa blanca away from the main town, which really is somewhat over rated. The area we were in was quiet and peaceful with a few restaurants and bars within about 800 mtres, most families prefering the papagayo side. If you are reasonably fit Playa can be accessed via a paved walkway that hugs the sea front. It takes about 40 - 45 minutes at a reasonable pace, not particularly recommended when the temperature is over 30C. There are a few benches along the walkway but all of these are exposed to the full force of the sun. There is a regular bus service, timetables available from reception, which goes into Playa, there is also one to Arreciffe if ytou want to do some serious (?) shopping. A taxi from the Hoptel to Playa is just over 4Euros (at the time of writing). It is hard to fault the hotel. The variety of dishes available for both breakfast and dinner (we were half board) is one of the most comprehensive and varied I have encountered in any hotel. One very good touch was that many dishes were Gluten Free and labelled accordingly, this was an absolute boon for my wife who is a coeliac and hence has a gluten intollerance. One word of warning however; the signs on the sweet table were not fixed and could be sometimes moved around by other guests without realising the repercussions of labelling a sweet as Gluten Free when it was not; My wife vfound this out the hard way! Gluten free 'bread' was also always available on request. Whilst the food was excellent the wines were average and, for a supposedly duty free island, overpriced for the quality available. A pity as other drinks in the hotel were quite reasonable. Service was attentive and most of the time not over pushy however the waiters do need a few lessons on presenting and serving the wines.
Reception was always manned by helpful staff, although at times it could have done with more staff being available, especially as most days had people checking in and out. There is a cash machine in reception so don't change money at the reception, you get a better rate via the machine; similarly on leaving ask to pay your bill in euros to take advantage of the bulk bank rates. Decent sized safes are available behind reception for a 10 Euro deposit, which is returned when you return the safe key. Similarly Pool Towels, Table Tennis equipment, Crazy Golf equipment are all available subject to a similar 10 Euro deposit. There is a car hire desk and you do need to get out and about, driving is painless and relatively traffic free (compared with the U.K.) whilst the island doesn't have a phenomenal amount of 'hot spots' you do need to go (at least) to Timanfaya, Cueva de Los Verdes, Jameos Del Agua and Mirador del Rio.Entrance to these seems to be a standard 8 Euros each but you can buy a concession ticket from Tourist Information which gives you access to either 4 or 6 venues at a discounted price. Rather than pay the 8 Euros for the Mirador del Rio - try the Mirador de Guinate - it's free and comparatively quiet but has similar spectacular views. Do also take a side trip to El Golfo as this natural phenomena is gradually disappearing and will not be there in 10 years time. Our room was spotless, although the bathroom was beginning to show a little 'wear and tear' but nothing to get overly excited about. The lights and Air Conditioning only operate when you put your room card in the power slot inside the doorway entrance. As the air conditioning does struggle at times we used to leave a plastric supermarket loyalty card in at all times. The room aws usually then at a reasonable tempearture when returning after a day out.

Room Tip: If you are not too bothered about the view from your room try one round a corner. They are subject t...

We stayed at the Natura Palace in early October 2012. The weather was great, with just a small shower on one day. Temperature 25c to 32c but comfortable.
First impressions are of a lovely Hotel in an ideal quiet setting, with lots of space inside and out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, but reception badly needed an extra member of staff, with only one person trying to cope a lot of the time.
The rooms are fairly basic, but comfortable. They lack slippers, and a kettle, which we expected as standard for this class of hotel. We ended up hiring a kettle at 1 euro per day - a petty inconvenience. Safes are charged extra, and are near reception. The bathroom is a good size, and well maintained (except for a rust stain on the toilet which should have been removed) We had 1268 on the second floor, which overlooks part of the garden and the sea, and is south facing, so it gets a lot of sun. The downside is that the Air Conditioning is not up to the job unless you cheat by leaving your card in all the time! The room has a good size balcony. We were only bothered by mosquitoes on one occasion when sitting out in the evening.
We were booked in as Bed & Breakfast, and only used the Restaurant on one evening which was their "Gala Evening". Compared with Gala Evenings at other Hotels it was nothing special, but the food was good. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and top class service
There was entertainment nearly every night, which was unexpected! There were some excellent acts including magicians, jugglers, tribute act singers and flamenco accompanied by 3 brilliant cellist/violinists who would grace any theatre stage. The drinks were reasonably priced, unlike some similar standard hotels, which meant that a lot of people stayed in at night instead of deserting the place to get a sensibly priced drink.
The gardens and pools were excellent although the unheated pools were a little too cool for most people. This is disappointing because they looked so inviting.
The hotel is located about 3km from the centre of Playa Blanca, with an excellent pathway all the way. There are a whole variety of restaurants a short walk in both directions, including Greek, Argentinian, Italian, Indian and of course Spanish. We tried several of them and were impressed. We made the mistake of going into Playa to eat one night and were disappointed.Poor quality, poor service and higher prices.
A boat trip to Fuertaventura was disappointing as were were not impressed with the town on the other side.
However, overall an excellent holiday!

This place gets better.O K the bedrooms may need a certain amount of upgrading and the A/C may need turning up when its hot,but this place has charm and is very very comfortable. It is just like home from home for us,the staff are very pleasant and cannot do enough for you.Extremely surprised that some people found the food a little samey. If you think a choice of 4 different meats,5 different types of fish,as many vegetables and salads as you can imagine, spagetti, pizzas, and goodness knows how many more types of dishes on the hot plates and at least 10 sweets every night,oh and bucks fizz every morning,is samey then you must be very discerning indeed. If you cannot get fed here you have a problem with your diet.Everthing is cooked fresh and the breakfasts are to die for.Go there and enjoy every minute. The big thing for us is that you can get an excellent nights sleep as there is very little noise after 12

Room Tip: high room and you can see the sea better

We stayed for a week in early October 2012. The weather was a fairly constant 28 degrees with only one day of cloud with a small shower.
We asked for a high floor and was given a 1st floor room on arrival? We asked to change and after viewing three other rooms found the ideal room which met our requirements. We wanted a sea and pool view which many of the rooms had views spoiled by the trees that were far too large for the gardens. They really should be cut right back to give all rooms better views.
The twin beds were very hard and uncomfortable and were showing signs of age. They definitely need upgrading.
The food was marvelous with a variety sure to suit every taste. The restaurant staff were amazing, we had never seen such a well trained group of dedicated professionals.
There are two large swimming pools, one fresh water, one salt water. Neither is heated but in October it was bearable. There is also a jacuzzi pool and a small pool for the toddlers.
Lots of quality sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas although they were set into the ground which meant you could not move them to take advantage of any shade. You had to move the sunbeds which meant you could have issues with your neighbours.
The hotel evening entertainment was very poor unless you like acrobats and dancers in local costume most nights. The only one we did enjoy was a Beatles tribute band. The hotel are missing a trick here as all they need is a resident DJ playing music suitable for the age of the residents (50 - 70) when we were there and the drinks sales would increase.
Turn left out of the seafront gate and you will find a lovely seafront walk into Playa Blanca town which takes around 45 minutes if you have a gently stroll or 20 minutes for the power walkers. If you turn right out of the gate and walk for 5 minutes there is a selection of bars and restaurants.
We hired a car for three days using the Thomson's rep. They use a company named Avia. An Avia staff member picked us up around 9.00 and drove us to their office to complete the paperwork. We were told to walk to a nearby street to find the car which we found was in poor condition. Dents all round, parts of the front grill missing , dirty etc. They changed the car after a long argument. We were surprised Thomson's are using this company.
All in all we would definitely return again but would make sure we get the floor / room we wanted confirmed after booking by contacting the hotel direct quoting our travel details etc.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a view of the sea and pools.
